I wasn't going to start a new thread, but it feels like it's been forever since we've seen him play. Watching this video gets me hype all over again. Like I'm seeing him with fresh eyes. Here is a quick little Jalen Green highlight fix for those needing a reminder of how special this kid can be on the court. We're talking about all the other guys and most of the Jalen talk is centered around the whole Detroit fiasco at the moment. Video encompasses the Cleveland game all the way to the Toronto game. Everything he does is so dang smooth. He moves like a cat. Even has some of the drives he's made that he got fouled on that didn't make it into some of the other highlight videos I've seen like the one he blew past Cade and was going to probably throw down a moster dunk.
You know when things are so good that you start to think... this is too good to be true? That's where I am. It's almost like defense mechanism I play in my head but... I was surprised by how well he shot the ball. I mean I knew he was a scorer, etc. but he just shot the lights out. Is that sustainable? After game 1, I was thinking, ok no way he can shoot that well in game 2 so hopefully he can show he can impact the game without shooting well, and then after game 2, the same thing... He did look like he needs to bulk up but obviously only 19 so I think he'll bulk up in a couple of years.

He’s got the natural athleticism, pure shot and great work ethic. He already looks like the best player on the floor every game. Wait till he puts on some more muscle, works on his handle, defense, pnr and the game slows down for him even more. I feel like people will be disappointed if he becomes Beal/LaVine but reality check that’s 28/5/5 and 38% from 3! What the heck else could you want from your shooting guard? Green is going to be an all star for years to come so now just need KPJ to take the next step and continue to surround him with talent.
Jordan and Green do share a similar cat-like gait when moving up and down the court. Jalen's out there looking like a young T'Challa. The Black Panther to MJ's Black Cat moniker. Dolla T'Challa bills ya'll.
Ha! I WISH Jalen had that physique! Not even after his rookie contract is up! lol But seriously he does need to get stronger and tighten his handles. He's light years behind even young MJ in both of those areas. But his jumper is that far ahead of early MJ's as well. The good thing is he's only 19 and rookie MJ was what 21 or 22. He has the time and the desire. I was going to ask if you could put Jalen's head on that body for real till I remembered one fact. That T'Challa was only 6'0!
And I'm one of those delusional homers who will actually be disappointed if "Thriller" tops out at the Beal/LaVine level! Hoping for MJ, or at least Kobe. Same thing with Alpie. If we just get Domantas Sabonis I will be disappointed there as well. It's Poppa Sabonis or bust!
