He decided he was going to go with Taylor even before they took the lead…. It’s that sort of fixed managing that has plagued him throughout his career. Once he talks himself into a decision, he can’t see any other possible angle. He also doesn’t seem to grasp the 3 hitter rule/reliever. If you really want him for Benentiendi, you need to also really want him for Dozier as well.
Blake Taylor doesn't need to be seeing 3 batters in a row unless they are all lefties. Since we can't use lefty specialists for 1-on-1 matchups anymore, he shouldn't be pitching at all. Dusty will correct this by going to Raley today.
Dude seriously thank you for also noticing this. I'm over here pulling my ****ing hair out bc I don't understand. Dusty routinely does that trash, puts a lefty against a lefty, but the next 4 guys are right handed. Naturally Raley or Taylor will walk the first batter and then it's like a murderers row of righties with a man on first and no outs. AND YOU CANT CHANGE THE PITCHER FOR 2 MORE BATTERS!!!!!! WHAT. THE. ****.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't believe we lost again this morning against a shitty team, but sure enough we did. I went to bed with us being up 2-1 and thinking man that's a slim lead good luck guys. Turns out they needed our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ instead.
I'm still just angry. We are pissing away a very good season and completely ******** the bed against the trashiest of trash competition.
I feel the same, I mean he won't even shake up the batting order, wrong pitcher, etc etc fighting with Click
Alex Cora goes back to the Red Sox after all the dust settles.. Hinch signs with Detroit and we’re stuck with the 1996 version of Dusty Baker
Well, Mike Minor has a 5.35 era. This means 7 shutout innings with 10 k's against us. I can't believe we're really about to get swept by the Royals. This is on par with the Rangers sweep.
It'll have to get real bad before something is done about Baker. I think this season is a wash. I hope I'm wrong.
