It could be time for the Hinch world series strategy. There are no bullpens where we are going.

Was it his fault? I say no. Error killed the team.

I'm afraid we're setting up SD for a losing streak, but only after they sweep us.

The problem with Baker, IMHO, is his commitment to Lefty/Righty switches for both batters and pitchers without the rest of the story. The three batter rule must drive him crazy since he can't use the entire bull pen in a single inning.

There used to be some basis for a generalization toward this policy when most pitchers performed better against same side opponents and most batters performed better against opposite side pitchers. But individual variation and club needs should not be ignored.

He seems willing to go with Lefty/Righty/Losey and still think he's doing a great job.

Had never thought of it that way and with the lineup being this top heavy it makes even more sense.

It's a Southern Thing. He wasn't quite as white-washed in the South as much as they tried.

William (Price) "Bill" Clary was my GGGGrandfather and was BFF with Lincoln. He did not serve, but my GGGrandfather, his son, served with the Arkansas Confederates. The article got the place of his burial right, but he moved to Arkansas from Illinois before moving to Texas.

I’m in favor of keeping dusty ... but I was pissed yesterday

his bullpen decisions were not bad (I stopped watching after the 9th)

but how the hell do you not walk Tatis !?

sure , he was 0-4 , but the announcers were saying that Presley needed a short rest . Base was open . 2 outs . I mean .. to me , it seemed like a no brainer.

Is the guy behind tatis also really really good?

    Jumping in here

starting P has been great . Idk what the other top rotations look like . But , to me .. framber, Zach , lance , and Jose is a very very solid staff .

If you then have Javier and stanek and Presley our the pen that’s a good start . We need a couple other guys to step up and get consistent (Taylor , paredes maybe). It would def help if framber and jake start eating some innings ... and I really like Garcia too .

Offense hasn’t clicked yet . Maybe for a few games . Still think our biggest issue is RF (and move tucker to center or get another cf) been pleasantly surprised by Chaz so far

to me Dusty has def overused Raley and Abreu. But his options certainly have been limited . I don’t mind tinkering around with lineup and trying to get guys hot and find spots. Where do you put Correa , Yuli , tucker ? We have a lot of potentially great hitters. Yordan has been in and out .

tucker being an automatic out for an extended stretch along with our C’s not being great and straw being a low OBP guy has killed us .

ultimately, I don’t think dusty will make or break us getting to the playoffs. You can legit slot any order 1-7 it’s about those guys rounding into better form .

Tucker hasn't been an 'automatic' out for weeks and even when he was not hitting for average or OPS, he had arguably the worst luck in the league.

Since April 24, he is slugging around .520 and had an OPS around .900.

He'll be gone next year. I'm not sure how far we go this year but Click has to find someone that fits. I hate beating the dead horse BUT I just wish we would've brought back Hinch.
