And heres a few excerpts form prep talk by the coach Weawer:

"Listen here guys, the gameplan is no passing, no ball movement except to turn it over ...ok? OK I know its sounds weird but listen here, we need to see how you react in tough situations.... OK?

The other thing is, you need to shoot as much as possible 3 pointers, but not the open ones, and not the 3 pointers created as a result of set and planned action ,thats too easy ok? only heavily contested ones over the hands of multiple defenders or a tough pullup 3s from 35 feet early in the shotclock is the real 3 available in playoffs. And remember, no midrange!

You Chris, whenever you see a group of 3 or 4 defenders together you need to rush into them taking a heavily contested layup.... no bullshit midrange shots you are good at...and remember no passing, we need to see how you fit into a superstar role when there's no easy way out of triple team... OK lets go now....and remember, no boxouts and no fundamentals, you just need to let it all go and later on in the playoffs, that is, afterwards, when we miss the playoffs we will try to see what went wrong and how to correct deeply ingrained bad habits...OK?
Did i forgot to mention no passing? ok then, no passing except in heavy traffic or if its a bounce pass to a big man, OK? but still its better not to pass rather you just take 100 dribbles and a bailout 3 at the end of the shotclock!

We are not going to be a post up heavy offense, he will need to learn the pick and pop and how to get his without being the main option.

There is a reason why Sengun was selected higher than Usman. Usman should have adjusted better, I admit. I'm hopeful Usman will play well with more NBA experience.

 

and in any league Usman just not the same level as Sengun

He has a better chance of becoming an actual goat.

 

Usman will be fine. He showed the athleticism just hasn’t had any schooling in team defense, just like the rest of our summer league squad. He will spend at least half the season at RGV and then everybody will be screaming for him to get starts. He is crazy good at individual defense and hustle.
