Why would I need to? We re-opened the economy from the pandemic and it's causing supply imbalances after demand was dialed way. This is getting a bit sad a "capitalist" doesn't understand basic supply and demand.

Lets just agree to disagree and move on. I'm going back to the Astros forum.

    Good evening.

LOL. Trump pays more taxes to the Chinese than the US government.

You have a good evening but I won't agree to disagree about basic economics.

You believe the lie and are unwilling to look at history.

    OK

Jobs are created because of demand for products and services not because you give people who already have more money than they can invest more. That leads to stock buybacks, record corporate profits, and record corporate cash balances all leading to the huge wealth inequality we’ve been dealing with since Reagan cut taxes for the rich and hollowed out the middle class.

For someone who claims to be middle class and wants to see the middle class helped you’re not following any sense of logic.

Corporate America shipped off the blue collar middle class jobs to foreign countries to pay slave wages. No amount of tax cuts or tariffs will bring them back. It’s been done several times and first it was manufacturing and now it’s service sector like call centers. Gone, gone, gone.

This is why the infrastructure bill is so critical. Can’t offshore jobs to China for $1.50/hr when they are building roads and bridges here in the US.

We had supply issues in Florida prior to the election. Had issues with AC parts and systems. Had issues with cars and parts among other things. Folks had trouble getting houses and renovations completed.

Inflation was lower under Clinton than it had been previous presidents since JFK.

When Obama left office the CPI was 1.6 under it Trump it rose to 2.9

Nothing like what's going on now.

You can't even get paint now.

    Guess why?

    The contract with America.

Could this be because of the pandemic?

When people have jobs they have more money to spend.

I totally agree about shipping jobs off, Trump was actually bringing back jobs even though the globalist were fighting him tooth and nail.

The infrastructure part of the bill is very important. The human infrastructure part of the bill ( whatever that is) not so much.

Dems goal is taking from people who've earned and GIVING to those who haven't. I believe in earning things.

I think this is where there is a severe disconnect of train of thought.

One side believes in the cognitive scientists who say that the most important stage of brain development is 0-10 and more specifically 0-3 which means investment in human development infrastructure such as early childhood education, access to mental health services for all children, access to stable housing with working utilities will c is vital to human growth and is a large indicator of whether thar child will grow up as an adult with mental health issues who isn't productive or a successful mentally healthy adult. The other side believes that children magically become competent adults from the where will of spamming normative PSAs about "personal responsibility".

You want more people with high quality jobs like medicine and engineering? The human infrastructure part is just as important or else those new jobs being brought back will be manned by h1b1 visas.

This is not a "agree to disagree" discussion. Supply chain issues started when trump started his trade war with China, as manufacturers that used locations in China were faced with either relocating manufacturing plants (costly, time-consuming) or incurring the tariffs. They were further exasperated when the global pandemic hit, shutting down factories in cities hardest hit by the pandemic. I used to work in strategic planning for a global manufacturer with manufacturing plants in China. These are not "agree to disagree"... these are simple facts.

Must be different in Texas (or wherever you are). No problem with paint in Florida. My cousin is a contractor and hasn't had any issues obtaining supplies (granted prices remain higher). Lumber has dropped substantially in the past few months. It's still a pain in a lot of different areas, but things aren't much worse today than they were last summer. Folks are getting their houses finished now when they were having issues last summer.

To blame the current administration on supply chain issues is disingenuous.

Lumber has dropped, but things like shingles, sheetrock, plumbing have gone up in Texas.

Bottom line is, elect a Dem and expect prices to go up, along with taxes.

....yes. Because demand came back with the reopening but supply chains weren't prepared due to the trade war and Covid.

When did we start mass vaccination?

Someone actually looked at the history and you were wrong, inflation was low with Clinton and Obama while higher with Trump.

Like I said, have you ever heard of the contract with America?

That's the reason for the Clinton era success.
