That’s debatable with every. We had a nice draft but we still have a lot to prove.

Nobody on this team is prove outside of Gordon and Theis in his role

Wall still needs to the league that he’s back to pre-injury play

KPJ needs to prove he can run the offense and contribute to winning basketball

Wood is solid but needs to prove he’s durable. Not really worried too much about him

I like our core quite a bit but they are all real young. We have a real good shot at competing for the #1 pick again. But this will be a lot more interesting to watch.

    Fair.

Debate is why CF is so active and successful.

Definitively better? I'd say the Rockets are on the same level as most of those teams. I think the pups are better than Houston.

How good we are record wise Depends on our vets. The only under-21, I expect to see get minutes is Green

Theis didn’t get signed to not play. He’ll play 25+ minutes. Sengun might get some minutes but not a lot expect unless injuries force it.

Washington will be way better than us. They have Bradley Beal and they just added a half a dozen decent vets. Spencer Dinwiddie, if healthy, is really good. Minnesota has KAT and Anthony Edwards will be in his second year. The other four are definitely in the mix with us.

Yeah. Like I said this board will have a rude awakening about a month into the season.

This season will damn sure be more fun/interesting to watch though. I’ll be cheering for them to lose all along the way though.

I am wanting a 60 win season in a few years. I forget the poster here but they told me it would likely be decades before the Rockets have a 60 win season. The poster was somewhat right when looking at the statistical history of the NBA. I still want to prove the person wrong though.

Maybe not but they'll at least be a play in team, as they were last year. We will not be.

I wouldn't call it IQ so much as just good old common sense. This team isnt just a bunch of youngsters with no experience. There's guys like Splash, Wood, Wall that will provide a professional atmosphere and keep things in perspective. There is TALENT on this team. I just dont see this team winning less than 35 games and thats almost a worst case scenario for me, but thats ok because im not going to to proclaim them a contender, but they wont be a clown show. Like you said hitting that draft lotto can happen, but even if it doesnt Stone has really loaded his clip and could make a bunch of different moves to improve the roster. It has set up almost as well as you could have hoped for. When this team becomes "good" - it will be that way for a long time.

I still maintain that it is in our best interest to be able to strike next summer with two max slots, a high lottery pick, and max flexibility. I want to get 2 of the last group of max stars before we have to eventually pay our guys as their contracts are ending. We need this flexibility as we make use of our more premier later assets. Our main bet is always going to be on the Nets imploding and downplaying what we will owe OKC. Our team construction needs to be aligned with those goals. We paid a lot in terms of future for this shot so we get only one really good shot at it and need to cheat with every asset and opportunity we can.

    So.

Not sure where to put this, but he ticks all the boxes in the heading.

    Tyler Bey.

36th pick last year, most thought he fell a bit from what I remember. 6'7, 7'1 wingspan. Averaged a block and half and a steal and a half in college. Good rebounder, good defender.. The Mavs look to just be dropping him.

I guess because of how deep (although you could still argue average) their team is.

Should 1000% grab him on a 2 way.
