Unprepared how? I'm not really sure what an extra year of Harden does besides getting a worse pick this year.

I don't really follow this logic. If the Rockets had a high grade on Sengun why wouldn't they move up from 18 to get him before OKC could? You'd have to assume nobody before OKC was willing to trade with the Rockets , OKC had a high grade on Sengun, OKC stays at 6 and doesn't take Mobley with their own pick, and doesn't take a big with pick 5.

We just watched two guys argue about if it’s okay for a grown man to say “lol” on every post for like 2 pages but the harden trade is off limits ?

It's funny that you say this because I do it all the time. I'm thankful for the exes that led me to my wife.

Because it takes two to tango. I don’t believe any of the other teams would of given us 15,14, or 13 pick for protected Detroit and DC picks.

Sam Presti was in a unique situation. Dude already has a lofty amount of picks in the present and wants a cornerstone before going all in with his assets.

So he shifted #16 to picks that might not convey for 5+ years. You think wizards trying to help beal right now would’ve done that trade? Warriors (who took moody) would’ve done that trade?

Thats not what we are talking about. I hate when people jump in the middle of the conversation. He said harden doesnt get credit for what Stone did to make us better. That doesnt mean he hates harden or is bitter.

We would have had pick 18 in this scenario. You don't think any GMs would have moved back from 13-15 to 18? That results in Sengun/Garuba/Christopher all the same.

it was the obvious right move to make…MDA and Morey gone, cheap Tilman, the squad getting worse every year after 17-18…and then we saw how sorry the team was this year being the worst in the league with a 20 game losing streak losing by an average of almost 18 ppg

if he stayed, it would’ve been a 1st round exit or 2nd round beatdown so at the end of the day, it is what it is

fortunately, we kept our pick this year

well the tank was a success and it wouldn't have been if harden decided to stick it out with houston so he had something to do with houston's successful tank whether people want to give him credit or not

and LOL go DM yourselves if you want privacy

Old enemies: Mavs, Jazz, Curry era Warriors, Lakers.

New era rivals in the making:
Pistons: Cade and Green. Wood signing with us.
Cavs: Mobley and Green. KPJ scooped by us.
OKC: to a lesser extent, a trading partner.
    • Almost took this year top pick if it wasn't for top 4 protection.
    • Gifting Sengun.

With the us and other young teams rebuilding, I can see these kind of stories continue.

    Well let’s examine it closely

    13 was pacers
    14 was Warriors
    15 was wizards.

Wizards are trying to win now by beal, no way they’d want picks that might not convey for years.

We had tried to make a trade with Pacers with 13 and they rejected our trade offers repeatedly.

Do you think Warriors would’ve traded 14th for two protected picks that won’t convey for years? I heavily doubt it.

damn, Pistons fans are big mad

Cade seems to relish being in Detroit, at least right now, so they have that going for them at least.

Green would’ve bolted 1st chance he got, but I can see Cade being willing to stick it out in Detroit if they have some success. He has that old-school, mature beyond his years vibe.

Missing the point entirely youre not saying anything we dont know. WE ALL KNOW WE WOULDNT HAVE THIS SITUATION IF HARDEN DIDNT LEAVE. That doesnt make what he did right lol What if Stone did a shitty job Harden didnt know and he didnt care. Also we got injured if Wood doesnst go down we dont get Jalen. At the end of the day im not bitter or mad at Harden, I hope he wins a ring but what he did was wrong. Telling the truth and being honest about what happened shouldnt be a thing you're cruicified for. Credit for our rebuild goes to people who actually did help us rebuild. There are way too many fan boys who cant stand criticism but love to dish it out.

You think there is no way the Wizards would move back three picks to get their own pick back? I'd bet money the Wizards would have taken 18 and their pick back for 15. And I'd bet a whole lot of money they take 18, Pistons pick, their pick for pick 15.
