Sengun will look better than he does in SL (he's already playing well in SL.) Big men all rely on their teammates more than guards do. Sengun needs a decent guard that knows how to throw an entry pass to him when he seals off his man. It's the same reason why Mobley Mob are saying his number would look better with better teammates.
imho had they given sengun touches they could have been able to better see what others are capable of...he would playmake for them and give them the structure and open looks they would have to knock once inserted into the main team...and it allows sengun to practice and establish himself as a star and everybody wins but this way everybody just played wild, frenzied, lost and without a structure, not even being able to showcase what they got and it made them looking even more terrible then what they are
making sengun a playmaker would allow the guys to showcase what they could do if they stay... this achieved nothing from that point of view... perhaps the staff is afraid sengun could take over over the more marketable sexy Green while hes not around? hmmmmmmm....
if he couldn't get touches playing with waters and fosters theres no way hes getting it with johnny the ball hog around....
IM NOT TALKING ABOUT HAKEEM LEARNING ABOUT DOUBLE TEAMS. You dont get it. we are just talking about willingness of passing not the ability to pass in certain situations. Im honestly tired of repeating myself so this wiil be the last time I respond to you. In summer league you want him to do his best Kobe impression? really you prefer that instead of the coach trying to work on things and improve who and what they are? instead of being lazy. they can play street ball anywhere. the point of summer league is to help them develop and see how they respond to organized pro level basketball you cant do that by just getting pt. your posts sound like youre just pulling things from your ass so you can argue against a point ive made. first bringing up hakeem and jordan and now this nonsense, stop it. JC is not and will never be either of those players and im not expecting him to be them now. There's a difference between cant and wont. Cant is teachable wont is a mind thing. Cant is Jason Kidd and Vince Carter learning to shoot threes later in their careers wont is ben Simmons refusing to shoot at all.
1 v 1 in a 5 v 5 game is not the best way to teach fundamentals or see what the players have especially when some players arent getting any touches at all.
The Rockets this upcoming season will be running the Tank system. It’s already time to start looking at next year’s draft prospects
This is one of the most absurd things I've read on here and that's saying something (assuming you're not kidding)
I hope we do better next year than awful Jalen Green and Josh Chucks-a-Lot Christopher. --- @Bobbythegreat
If Silas deploys this system in rs he can get the **** right into the assistant role for Charlotte once we done tanking next year. Im not buying opinions on him i aint seen nothing yet except his team being awful
Bro if the rockets system is to ignore the big man and go one on one and shoot contested 3's we're in trouble. we are all aware its summer league the issue is they dont seem to be teaching them the system just letting them play which is what the dang coach basically said.
I heard that Rockets sucked last 2 games because team did not have enough spacing. Even though Rocket players all camped around the perimeter. And coach candidly admitted that he did not want deviate from system by putting Sengun in the pivot and running offense through him. Nope, it was lack of spacing not stupid coaching.
It was perhaps a masterful plan devised to piss off Alperen by denying him touches thus provoking him to step into being alpha star of the team thus making the step necessary for turning rockets into contenders?
A lot of people credited Silas for Doncic but now I wonder did he just say 'Luka takes all the possessions' in Dallas and it worked but not because of some grand master scheme but because Luka is greatest European player ever with superb playmaking skills since he turned 13 years old and now Silas says the same stuff to some ****ing scrubs and expects similar things to happen? Thats the way John Wall plays, that's the way JC plays etc. If im coach and I see what the **** is JC doing.... he isn't there for the team. I don't want someone like that on my pro-roster. I would let him rot in G league once he understands concept of pass edit: ps. How can you deploy summer league team with no point guard?
