Since the trade deadline, our bullpen has been lights out

I predicted the biggest weakness of this team would now be our biggest strength.

Since August 1:

1.17 ERA

I'm just glad Dusty settled on only Graveman as the setup man vs a turnstile of pitchers rotating in and out of that role.

We have an identity in the bullpen finally. Teams now know about our 1-2 punch on the back end of the pen and figure they better not be losing the game after 7 innings.

The Astros bullpen has moved up from 17th to 9th in the major leagues in ERA in just the last 2 weeks. That's astounding.

 

3 of the runs came from Maton in less than 1 inning pitched.

So 2 runs given up in nearly 38 IP outside of that.
