Congrats on being a member of a forum for a while. Super impressed. Harden forced a trade for a scrub then realized it wasn’t going to work and threw a tantrum saying we don’t have what it takes to win. Forced a trade to a super team and got absolutely pooped on by Giannis even with durant going off. **** was funny though.
https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/20...tta-tells-final-hours-of-paul-westbrook-deal/ This is literally the owner specificlaly breaking down the trade, saying the basketball ops was weak and he was the one who pushed it through. Daryl has said that he had the trust of Harden to keep runnigng with paul if they add talent even though harden preferred westbrook. Paul himself said that he felt houston was close to a title, as did ariza, they wanted to run it back...but they said the main issue was losing Ariza, their best defender but more importantly their champion veteran in their locker room whose relationship and respect with both Paul and harden allowed them all to gel, thus ekep going. ....its like SHaq and kobe, batted heads you take out fox/fisher/jackson or guys who keep the focus on then that one could've combusted before it startedhttps://spacecityscoop.com/2020/07/...ris-paul-trevor-ariza-costly-houston-rockets/ So lets see here. Harden is the guy who in a time when stars load manage, played and hoswed up each game, heavy minutes, useage at a historic level with a target on his back to where guys lke Andre Robertson could get paid 40 million for being known as a guy who slows him down. Then for a marathon o f several season led the league in points, assist, just innovated his game. When the media loved curry, the players voted harden mvp...twice. And now while hes doing a historic performance he comes back after a 40 minute game in January...their replacement for their original starting SF, ariza daniel house has now been cut for tax reasons, he was sent home for what would be 2 months to make it tax friendlly...earlier that year we traded a first round pick...to save tax.... A month later we trade another rotation player...for 2 nd round protected pick...mid season, tax savigns. those svaings dont give us flexiblity, these are minimum contracts, they just give the owner extra change back. Then on top of all that the owner takes the mike after the 2019 loss and demands the team do better with a cheaper product publicly, he even says he will teach them a killer instinct...go find how many owners do this clown show shist or negotiates with MDA publicly and lies about it and gets caught? go check how many owners do this stuff. So yea, lebron, kobe, MJ...any great player would leave sorta how MJ demanded help after losing and dominated for 7 years. Or Lebron did, or even kobe did with lakers. So what you're going again, there is no 1a star who would put up with that, not inthis league economcs. Then on top of that this is a guy whose invested locally in businesses, homes, brought his family here, has an active foundation that donated to houston AFTER he was traded even and had a rockets red themed restaurant opening...this year. Doesn't seem like a guy clmaoring to get out, but neither did MDA, MOrey, bzdelick, TAd brown...but wonder what the common denominator is? everyone deserves blame of course, morey mda, tilman, harden so on. but people are putting this on them and are making the mistake that when the next bundle of talen is in their prime if we do the exact same thing, we'lll lose em again. Thats why we should route ofr the rockets, not the owners savings. I cant imagine milwaukee fans saying our team lost 1-4 last semi finals when giannis was an mvp, we spent a lot, he couldnt make his shots why would we go all in on this team...they still ddid and made unlikely history this year...they traded for the guy many here thought was useless, he played close to 40 minutes had a 0 and sitll wont the title again them...they played a product of the opposite of our decisions. When we wouldn't pay ariza, they did. They then understood the contract asset in nba eocnomics, flipped him for Kelly oubre...they took kelly oubre/Rubio and traded for Chris Paul...another guy our owner leaked was the worst contract he had seen...neither of those teams regret getting in the fianls..neither of those fans are hoping to owner doesnt spend to and makes a profit...
Lol you called me a burner, Im just explaining to you why I'm not and why a two week account shoulndt be calling me one. Yea the Chris Paul trade was bad, but that wasnt all Harden. And yall dont remember Chris Paul not playing as well as he should have(still doesn't excuse the trade. But you again should really look at the owner. Absolutely pooped on lmao, Harden was on one hamstring and Irving was out. You should really learn all the facts here before talking crap.
He'd only be 33??? Hell yes 2 years gets to 35. Aslong as he isn't washed and he's coming as a FA sure why not.
“I know what we need to do, I know exactly what we need to do” - James Harden before he gave the rockets an ultimatum to trade cp3 or him the year before he demanded his own trade.
I will never make an excuse for game 6, he played bad. All those other things have facts behind them. Honestly I would rather not even even talk about Harden in the GARM and wish people wouldnt bring him up. He hand in that trade absolutely, but he wasnt the only one making the decisions in this.
great player. Loves Houston. Why not? Let’s get out our feels. At the end of the day it’s about what players want that’s best for them. It’s about dollars and cents.
For a lot of players it’s about geography more than money. Certainly not Harden, the city of Houston wasn’t an issue for him, he did love our city. For Harden it was purely about wanting to be on a contender. Most players only want to go to sexy coastal cities like Miami or LA if they leave their team. Harden never got Durant in Houston but Durant got harden in NYC. Lebrun couldn’t get dudes in Cleveland but easily could put teams together in Miami and LA etc.
Harden will never come back to Houston. Why would he? He wants to win now, not in 5 years, and in 5 years, he'll be retired.
I agree. Much blame has been put on him but Morey and Dantoni put a flawed product and system together during his tenure. Yes the Westbrook move hurt the team but years of giving up assets and creating a roster devoid of talent and a limited and flawed style was ultimately fruitless and we came up short. Don’t get me wrong it’s about winning also. But My point is much of this game is dollars and sense on all sides. All parties. Make no mistake. Lucrative markets, TV deals, merchandising, endorsements etc. Lebron knows this. Owners know this. The media knows this. Harden is no different.
Unfortunately for harden he played with the best player in the playoffs and couldn’t help at all. Was a detriment. Dont make me post his elimination game stats. Carry on..
To some extent that was harden facing the consequences of his own actions. “Karma” in the non superstitious sense if you will. Harden got fat drinking with rappers all off-season and refused to do training camp or condition himself before the season. He tried to play himself into shape during the season on the nets and his body had a reaction.
If the Rockets are an attractive enough team for him to want to join up in a couple of years, that means a lot had to have gone right. Sign me up for that scenario, as long as he comes here ready to let Jalen Green be the face of this franchise.
