There’s a hell of a lot of future money being committed this summer to older and/or injury prone players. Some of these contracts are not going to age well.

LOL, was just thinking the same thing. I'd put the over/under at 1 million per game.

That is over $500K per game --- IF he plays all 82 all 4 seasons.

He averages 57 per season in his career. So that would be... drum roll....

    $773K per game.

For context, the first athlete made $1M IN A YEAR in the 1970s.

Soon these guys will be making $1M a minute.

So why not opt in and secure 223M?

If you consider inflation, from 1975 to 2021, $1M in 1975 would be worth approx $5M today.

I remember Murray mentioning max contracts for superstars were technically underpaid given relative supply, but 44 million for a guy injured/resting even in playoffs is a bit nuts.

Not like any team that has him has a choice.

Time to add Kawhi to the seeming ever growing list of players getting paid big time that cant play?

This guy is worse than Anthony day to day davis. He also forced his way off his team, but he gets none of the hate.

Bone on Bone, it must be, Kawhi Leonard struggled to get up from a chair when he was with the raptors.
