I definitely want him gone from the team. It sucks that we are going to lose a player of his caliber, but we shouldn't sell out our morals in the name of sports. I don't know what the courts will determine about his cases, but as far as I'm concerned he is ****ed up individual that attempted to take advantage of his status as an athlete to attempt to get what he wanted from women. These women are likely individuals that were not doing massaging as a hobby, but rather were doing as a job to pay their bills. I know for many it is hard to comprehend why they agreed to keep doing the massages or why they didn't they just go find another job, but if many of these encounters were during COVID, we all know that employment options in this industry were likely limited, and plus, maybe some of these women liked working where they were. I don't know, but pretty ****ed up of Watson to prey on that. It's not acceptable.

It's a damned if do and damned if don't situation.

If he stays even when he lifts the super bowl trophy and Houston gets it's super bowl finally.. whole time I will expect him to start air humping the trophy ..and how he wants to stick in deep 'inside his butt' ....
The schadenfreude of him winning somewhere else is almost as bad yet to me the most likely scenario.
In that world I do feel bad for joe fan in Houston that really wants that.. you know either way the mcnairs won't care.

I've been an oilers fan all my life.
So the only choice is to trade him to the titans and make the deal that we get the oilers name back.
That is the only way.. and yes he would win super bowls and we all are ok with it since he be stanking..I'm done with him in that sense.

haha maybe.. but I prefer it over slime season

This is 100 percent on point. If someone doesn’t want to be at a certain place, no point in keeping them. Trade him as soon as you can get max value for him, and move on. It will suck for a while because this team as presently constituted sucks big time. But, long term it is better for all parties involved.

I could care less about Watson at this point, he gone. Can we get rid of Cal the same way?

...nevermind, Robert Kraft already showed rules don't apply to owners. Instead, I'll settle for Easterby. Get that man some massage parlor coupons!

I voted “no” but I don’t really like the Texans as much as the hilarity of Texans threads.

There is no worse punishment than having to play for this franchise. So if he's guilty, keep him.

Kobe Bryant had a credible rape investigation against him with a damning police report, and pretty damning testimony on his own behalf. There was even a rape kit with clear signs of forced sex. After the media crucified the accuser (which I don't think would happen today) she dropped the criminal charges, but still settled for most likely a large amount of money.

Today, Kobe Bryant is venerated as one of the best ever, has multiple championships, and is fondly remembered by almost everyone in his life.

I have this sinking suspicion that in 20 years, we may be speaking about Deshaun Watson the same way...just for another franchise.

    And is that ok?

This is the problem. If Kobe’s situation happened in 2021, I don’t think he would be as revered.

I don't think its OK. I think Kobe "got away with one" basically. When he passed away and some people correctly brought up that blemish on his legacy, they were harpooned by his fans.

I just have this sinking feeling that it may be similar for Watson. In 18-24 months, all of this will be settled and Watson will be leading some other team to the playoffs. In 5 years, when he's a 30 year old Super Bowl winning MVP for some team, hardly anyone is going to even mention the current issues.

Yeah, that’s most likely what will happen. But I don’t know if this will be forgotten as easily as Kobe was. The nature of the times.

I'm a husband and a father so I have zero tolerance. Needs to focus on other things besides football.

    Those negative vibes though...

I voted no. But I should have kept reading and chosen the third option.

You're not going to win in the NFL if you only want and have high moral players on the team. That's why the Texan's will never be a good franchise.

Yeah, they are so much better off now having drafted a sexual predator. It would be terrible if they only had players who weren't serial abusers of women.

Big difference between having morals and allowing sexual predators on team.

    There’s levels to it

Since football is coming I thought I would pop my head in here and say this. I've been a huge Deshaun fan since I saw him play on a torn ACL at Clemson. I thought he was going to be the top pick when he came out. I remember getting the call from my sister when we drafted him(was on a CFA run) and I was so ecstatic, we finally got a top-end QB. He came out guns blazing and quickly established himself as an elite tier QB, despite the multitude of incompetence around him.

Then it all went to hell.

And after hearing things from Deshaun's camp, and gathering as much info as I could get, sadly I think Deshaun is not long for this league. He tried to escape Houston to run from this. He blames members of the organization for this getting out. He still has yet to truly admit that he did something wrong. And although that interaction he had while walking onto the field today was brief, it told all it needed to. He's worn out by everything, but all of this is squarely on him. He has no one to blame but himself. And unfortunately for the Texans, they're getting screwed the most out of this. I still think Cal is a complete imbecile and Easterbunny is a slimy conman, but they're getting screwed because Deshaun won't be on the Texans long term, and they're going to get little to nothing for him. He's wayyyyy too toxic right now to be moved for any value and I'm not sure if that will ever go away in this day and age. I'll watch the games here and there, but I have zero emotional attachment to the Texans and I thought that would never happen.

And to answer the question, yes he should be off of the team, and probably out of the league.

He’s been ducking the media since the last game of the season. Still has not said anything directly regarding the trade request or the allegations.

he’s got some major demons that will need exorcising.

Yes, the man is a sexual deviant and a danger to women everywhere. He needs to be suspended for at least 2 seasons.
