He was one of the dudes you have wanted the Rockets to sign the last few years, right? That's why I ask.
I’ve come to the realization after being more invested and watching more summer league basketball than ever in my life, that I’m kind of quietly rooting for all of these guys to be successful. Of course I would love for OUR guy to be crowned the best of them all, but it would be kind of cool to see Cunningham, Mobley, Barnes, Suggs, Kuminga, and I’m seriously stanning for Davion Mitchell right now to all end up being really good players. Just naming a few off the top of my head, but plenty more I think can carve out a role in the league for a long time. I was on the Jaygup train when it was mostly empty and now it’s standing room only lol. It’s just good for the league when you can get a Lebron, Melo, Wade, and Bosh out of the same draft class. Then you had your Kirk Hinrich, TJ Ford, David West, Kyle Korver, Boris Diaw, Barbosa guys among others. Just a solid draft.
Same! I was going to mention him in my previous post and deleted it because it was getting too long winded. Guys his height shouldn’t be blessed with 44.5 inch vertical leaps. Him lasting to 58 may one day end up looking ridiculous.
Mobley went from the most polished big man in last 5 yrs to being 2 years away. Had a good line 14 7 6 but 33% from the field and missed most of his perimeter shots again for 2 games now. Also cant reb but thats to be expected given his thin frame.
I dunno man. He dropped cuz he a senior but still doesnt have any fundamental skills. Teams already knew he could sky and dunk from the combine. Maybe it depends in the situation. NYC has a traditional system and has Thibs as coach so maybe that's the best spot for him.
JC Is too good on camera. He is a natural. I love it. I wouldn't be surprised if he emerges as the vocal leader of the team.
