Jeremy Lin cries, and Chauncey Billups is relieved that people have forgotten about his stint with NYK.

he would be making $36.5 mil this coming year and the following year. So his original salary is actually right up there. His decision to get bought out is on him

Damn, this man loves basketball. You gotta consider a buyout if Wall is willing to give that much back!

He made almost all of it back with his Knicks contract. This just allows him to go to his preferred team and not be a part of a perpetual rebuilding exercise.

So, basically, OKC is paying the bigger part of Walkers salary in the next 2 yrs while he provides his services to the Knicks?
How will this dead money be counted against OKCs cap - will it be prorated over a longer period or just over two years?

IIRC it's just over the two years because this was a stretch provision case (I don't know if that still exists?).

And the remaining cap hit for OKC is still the original 74Mills, right? Or is it deducted by the money Kemba left on the table?

Whats wrong with Wall starting? KPJ can get his turn on the bench. Having vets show you the way is better than fumbling on your own. Let KPJ have a taste of off ball as well as on ball experience to make him well rounded.

Buying out or trading Wall can cost the Rox assets and I dont want that given he is still recoveri0ng and might sit down B2B just like last year.

i think it's the reduced amount. checking on Blake Griffin's cap hit via spottrac it looks like the reduced amount is factored in:

Wall is a decent player when healthy. He was a multi time all star and good enough to be the Wiz main dude.

But J.R., I was just reading through this thread and he is one of 14 players to be an all star since bread was first sliced mechanically on an assembly line.
