They both look like highlands goat too i look at them and expect „meeee”

Very stiff in the back/strong core but at the same time very shifty. They are really similiar maybe Pau bussed in Turkey while in Europe

Sengun gives you the sort of two-way play that you can anchor your team around. Based on what he can take away in the paint and his quick hands/rebounding, others can funnel the ball to him for stops. He easily had 2 or 3 blocks that the guard committed the foul.

When you turn it around on offense, he's a surprising playmaker. Teams will have to scout him as the screener, the roll man, and the guy on the block. When he adds the catch and shoot 3, he'll be even more able to drive and create for others.

He's built his game the right way, where so many young players spend all their time trying to dunk, step back, or shoot 3s. His game radiates out from footwork, positioning, instincts, and touch. Very old school. Anyone else see shades of Bill Russell? He's got his frame and timing.

It’s shocking how well he understands the game at his age. What he sees, how he moves, how he sets things up. He plays like a reincarnated 15-year vet.

Sengun lacks nothing but NBA fitness/training + reps on his 3pt shot. He doesn't look as bad as I thought he'd be on the perimeter and he clearly doesn't have an NBA body, so I'm optimistic he won't be so bad on the perimeter that teams can force him off the floor in the playoffs.

I remember that, during an interview, Mike Schmitz asked Sengun whether he thought he could block shots in the NBA, and he was pretty non-committal there, sorta "I'll try, we will see".
He has, what now, 7 blocks?

Sure, it's not the NBA yet, but he's a super smart defender. Knows how to jump to contest, times the jump well, etc.

He's just a very smart player, period.

Eating that crow right now, with relish.

I liked Sengun but you absolutely LOVED him.

I questioned some of the advanced stats but you were a true believer.

    Bravo!

click through the thread for more of the interview. Says he wants to be a legend in Houston. A legend in the NBA. A player that people can look up to like those he looked up to before.

STAUP I CAN ONLY BE SO MUCH IN LOVE

@D-rock I see you going through this thread and reading my posts again lol, I appreciate it. As you can see now that you have watched him for yourself, I wasn’t joking when I said really was scouting this MFer for months. When I posted then I didn’t have any expectation that the Rockets would actually draft him, since he was mocked to be out of our range. My reaction on draft night, from when they announced the trade for 16 pick, to the camera panning to Sengun’s face for some reason even though they never showed him before that, to the commissioner announcing that we selected him, I imagine would be how I would react if we had won the championship.

Truly believe that he can be an allstar, with outside chance at something even more.
