Oh I was just making a joke. There was a 5 second clip of Sengun (a couple of hours after being drafted, I think?) of him with hard-to-understand English saying "Houston, I am so happy."
I was excited when we moved up, I was just hoping it wasn't 23 & 24, so happy it was the Pistons & Wizards heavily protected 1st's, I was hoping for Sengun when we traded up.
That "star comparison" shown beside the score on screen shouldn't be between Cade and Jalen. It should be between Alperen and Jalen. Number one pick be damned.
No worries, wasn't sure if he spoke english or not, I know a lot of the international players who come over, in the NBA, NHL, and MLB sometime don't make an effort or maybe don't have the time to learn English, like Masahiro Tanaka formerly of the Yankees didn't speak any english when he was with them, he had a translator every game. But I'm just excited for this team's future.
yo man when you look at the box Green really did his thing wow! Cade fouled out with 10 fouls!? Green won. we did it.
You know what I really love about Jalen Green? He's really comfortable breaking down his flaws and errors and just owns it. It's great having a player who can balance hyping his brand AND admitting where he needs to work and owning it.
again. summer league doesn't matter, guys.. bragging rights, clout and practice in the summer.. lets remember that.
I don't know. It looks like Cade fit into the offense pretty well, because he was doing various things like he's known for. Jalen wanted to take over from the beginning, but the pressure disrupted him. I think they started getting better with having KJ and Sengun be safety valves for him and having him find them when he felt the pressure. That's how it should be. He even said it in the post-game interview. He's got to be able to get others involved -- everybody does. Too much helter skelter chaos and one-on-one caused by unfamiliarity out there. Cade seems content not being ball-dominant but you did see him play decent d, score the ball, pass the ball, etc. But you also saw him fail in all 3 regards, too. He's a good player so far in summer league play. I'd rather wait to see what these guys all do as the season goes along though. This game looked like a damn disaster by both teams for the most part.
