I honestly really want to know his ACTUAL wingspan. If his wingspan is really 7’0 or more, I’d feel a little less concerned about his actual height being under 6’6. I don’t know how long the list of 6’5 and half 217 pound guys playing 4 positions is, but it can’t be very long. Before the game, I also want to throw out that I think Green is somewhere around 6’5. Jaygup is 6’3.25 and KJ Martin measured 6’6 barefoot at last year’s combine. Green looks somewhere in between.
Yikes. At first I thought Cade was a 6 ft 8 style swing man who can play the 2/3. Now he’s a 6ft 5 guy who can play the 1 or 2, who’s not even athletic, and averaged more turnovers than assists in college. thank goodness we got the 2 pick and have Green
I felt Cade had a good game. Not great or anything. Had more TOs than assists. His handle is better than Greens, but it's not really great. Still feel like he's gonna be good pro. His shot looks good, and he's strong for a 5'11" guy.
I dunno man in their H2H he looks shorter than Jaylen Green. Either Green is 6'6 without shoes or Cade is just 6'6 without shoes. Or both which seems the most likely.
Cade looks like he will be a good player similar to Jalen Suggs in the sense that they will be solid pros. Jalen Green looks like he hasn’t tapped in to his athleticism just yet due to his lack of strength. He’s doing well but he has the potential to be unstoppable in a few years.
I thought Cade had a really nice game and largely outplayed Green despite Green putting up the better stat line. Which is kind of crazy that Green is putting up monster, efficient lines already while playing mediocre games, imagine when he has good games. They blitzed Green and he didn’t know how to handle it. This is the lack of play making, feel for the game that we talked about before the draft. But it’s correctable, just give the ball up earlier instead of trying to split the double and getting into trouble. Also I don’t blame the Pistons for using it since it worked, the best way to not let them do that is by beating the blitz instead of playing into their hands. Good lesson for Green on many different coverages he will see in the future. And again, despite not being able to handle a blitz, he still put up a monster efficient night (and got to the line finally!)
