Yank Odorizzi's ass if he's not performing well this time Dusty. Maybe before he gives up 20 runs? Hopefully 2-0.
I see we've hit the yearly panic inducing rough patch. I get why fans are the way they are, but it's still annoying.
I agree on the hitting side. I think our pitching is what it is. McCullers is our current ace and he is not an ace. Framber could get it back together. The rest of the rotation is meh. Unless someone really turns it around or we get a miracle from the minor leagues like Urquidy was we are in real trouble of not even making it to the ALCS. Call it panic if you want. Just being realistically worried for this year’s chances.
Astros: RHP Jake Odorizzi Signed to a two-year contract in March, the veteran Odorizzi has been a disappointment. He’s 4-6 with a 4.95 ERA entering Tuesday’s start against the Rockies. He gave up four home runs in three innings of work in the Astros’ 7-5 loss Wednesday in Los Angeles. In his last four starts, he’s allowed eight home runs in 16 1/3 innings, after giving up five homers in 47 1/3 innings in his first 11 games. Odorizzi said he’s been battling mechanical problems all season and will need to get it worked out if he’s going to find his way into the postseason rotation. -- Brian McTaggart https://www.mlb.com/astros/news/30-players-with-something-to-prove-late-in-2021
Brian M., I could of told your ass that he was going to be a disappointment before the ink touched the damn contract. It's still a head scratcher why in the hell he is part of our starting rotation.
