Maybe not height, but Zero G's wingspan is smaller. But, I agree with everything you say. Besides his tools and natural talent, it's his drive to become better is what made me excited. The Ben Simmons and Andrew Wiggins of the world needs to have that mentality or else they will never reach their full potential

Yeah we talk about getting bigger and becoming a better ball handler, but he really needs to learn how to get to the line to really maximize his potential. Maybe to some extent, both of those things factor into that.

If Green has JR Smith's explosiveness, we will be in for a treat. I know he already has a higher BBall IQ. JR Smith's explosiveness early in his career could rival anyone's.

Nothing against Lamb. He just isn't good enough to play in the NBA.

I mean what level of player is a bigger and more athletic Beal when Beal already has led the league in scoring?

Also what separates guys like Kobe from other elite scoring talent is what's upstairs between the ears. That is the wild card in determining what level of player Green will become. His work ethic and dedication to improving his game is what is going to determine if he will ever even be close to that mt Rushmore of shooting guards.

J.R. Smith was the most explosive player in the league. I don't see Green being that explosive.

Not gonna lie, I was scared for a moment when he went down hard, but he got right back up. You're right, a foul should have been called, even a F1.

I mean that is part of Green's scouting report. He's the most athletic prospect in this year's rookie class.

High level star player, borderline superstar, mind you I meant that as Green’s ceiling not his base outcome.

But also, Beal led the league in scoring on a bad to mediocre at best team. On a contender he’s not doing that IMO.

I hope he learns to draw fouls with the intent to make a ****. Like actual shot attempts instead of baiting exploits.

Those early years of watching Harden flopping to get to the line were frustrating to watch.

The free throws won’t be there reliably in the playoffs.

    Just get a bucket.

He seems like a nice guy, but a terrible basketball player. When your only attribute is shooting and you can't even make open 3s, yikes

I think Beal's scoring output would translate well on a winning team due to him having a 60% ts percentage while leading the league in scoring. I would buy into your point if he was scoring inefficiently.

I mean it isn't Harden, Gainnis or Curry level efficiency but it's still really good.

Ya his biggest problem is he has like the slowest foot speed for anyone his size in the NBA. He just doesn't move well and is so easy to defend.

He’s efficient but doesn’t make his teammates better like the greats. If he is your best player you are not a contender. If he isn’t your best player and you are a contender, his usage will be lower. IMO

I do somewhat fear that his high flying act is going to get him hurt playing with the big boys. As said above, he was already undercut once in the first game. One of Hardens best attributes was his ability to take a licking and keep on ticking. ( reference to a Timex ad with John Cameron Swayze circa 1956, ha). I think he will put on some weight and muscle over the next couple of years though, once he gets through puberty.

Green just needs to pack on some more muscle which he should naturally do with a NBA training regiment and getting older. Keep the same mentality he has right now in trying to make the bucket unlike Harden who often just tries to bait with no intention of making said bucket.

With his added strength he'll naturally get to the line more AND refs will respect him more in the playoffs to blow the whistle.

That's why it's good the Rockets have KPJ to be their best player. If Green's scoring translates to the NBA it'll compliment KPJ and Wood extremely well.

I think a team with Beal and a dominant big man like Embid would be title contenders. Kobe also wasn't a guy who was known for making guys around him better until maybe later in his career but still got rings with a dominant big.

Green was a football player first before basketball (not as publicized as Suggs who was mr football)

Hopefully that can translate to physicality when he puts on some weight.
