No. Tell him he will be traded after this season. However, have him play with the Texans this season. The huge difference is Watson's extension kicks in next season and he is much younger than A-Rod.
I think those 5 days off were to get Watson's head around the fact that the Texans' can't trade him right now. If he wants to play this season, it will have to be with the Texans. I think the hiring of the Crisis PR firm was done to help the Texans frame a strategy to deal with the fallout of Watson playing.
No, there’s a large portion of fans that want Deshaun gone. It’s “fortunate” if you’re comfortable with the accusations and his diva behavior. It’s “unfortunate” if you’re not comfortable with the accusations and his diva behavior. Pretty simple
What kills me are people who live in GLASS HOUSES. Did DW4 mess up, if he did what he's being accussed of....HELL YES! But like I've always said from the start, NOBODY, I mean NOBODY on this earth is sinless. We all have. And if I can tell you the things I've done before and after I was 25yrs old, we will be going back and forth all day. Lol Whatever DW4 is between him and God and we need to leave it at that! What he receives as punishment from the courts, if he's found guilty, he needs to accept and move on. But I guarantee you, the people on this form who are pointing fingers have done SOMETHING TOO
You’ve said this multiple times. You can believe whatever you want, but some things don’t deserve second chances. Sexually assaulting women is one of them in my eyes. Murder, rape, anything with children aren’t forgivable. He might not have done things he’s accused of, but if it’s remotely close to sexual assault, he doesn’t deserve a second chance or forgiveness.
He is being accused of a long pattern of sexual assault against multiple women..... that is a big deal. He isn't being accused of running a red light. Most people have not done anything on par with what Watson is being accused of. It is a big deal, and there are people serving long prison terms for the same type of behavior. Except it isn't between Watson and God. Watson lives on the planet earth and is governed by the laws and rules society has established and he is going to be judged accordingly. I guarantee you that the vast majority of people on this board are not serial sexual assailants.
No, they cannot make it all go away. A lot of people in the public will always have a negative view of Watson and the Texans for the foreseeable future. However, the Texans are likely weighing if it is worth the negative backlash if they keep Watson and can win with him.
First of all WORD says, my sins are not your sins and vice versa. But let me ask you this, do all the women he are accused of assaulting equate to murder? And before you answer, if someone is murdered/killed there is no coming back. That's it! There have been numerous NFL Players, Actors, Musicians who have been charged with murder, Little and Ray Lewis, to name a few. And if I'm not mistaken, Little was intoxicated, ran a traffic light killed someone and still played in the NFL. So, I ask you what is worse in your eyes?
Why does anything have to be wrong, because I do not agree with that analogy? I just believe in 2nd chances. Nobody knows why he did it or what actually happened. But here's something for you, have you ever done anything you seeked forgiveness for? If you haven't then you are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT
First, "WORD" isn't the law and it isn't what modern society is governed by. There is a strong separation between Church and State. This is irrelevant. Times change and social norms change as well. At one point it was acceptable to own black people too.
So what about the women he assaulted? They’re just casualties of this? 22+ women are more important than Watson getting a second chance. Would you give someone a second chance if they sexually assaulted your wife or daughter? Maybe if he was a star QB you would
