Looking forward to Tuesday's game against Cade. Green was such a dog against Okoro, didn't back down from a guy who is known for good defense. I wonder who is going to guard Green next game, will it be cade, hayes or even bey?
@Bobbythegreat How do you feel about those +/- I know you were hung up on the Green +/- in the G-league
"On a day that featured seven MGM Resorts Summer League games and produced several worthy candidates, the Player of the Day honor goes to Rockets big man Alperen Sengun." 2021 Summer League Standouts, Day 4 | NBA.com
If you were a real man you could admit that Jalen played well. Yet you’re here, saying this. Oh well, I’d say I’m surprised but I’m really not.
I never said he didn't....and I've given him his props many times in several different threads. He certainly had his moments, but the standout performance was Sengun. The only players who were terrible was Josh Christopher, Hurt, Lamb, and Foster.
For whatever reason I didn’t pick up on the height thing and thought Cade looked a little taller and longer still. That pic next to Livers and the references you noted are interesting though. I guess we will see even more definitively tomorrow when he’s next to Green and some of our other players. If he’s really 6’6” and doesn’t have the advertised wingspan that lowers his Swiss Army knife floor for sure. I know some folks aren’t sure Cade is really a good shooter and last year might be a fluke, but I don’t buy that. His shot is smooth and supposedly cleaned up a bit from high school.
Oh man, QRich with the blast from the past tweet. The young clips were pretty exciting to watch back in the day but they seemed to lack in the bball IQ department, especially Darius Miles. Just not great at winning basketball games kind of like Rudy Gay early in his career. Another guy on that young Clips team was Corey Maggette who also never seemed to put it together and play winning basketball until later in his career. I am hopeful that our young guys are more in tune with how to win basketball games earlier in their careers given their maturity level over those young Clippers team with Miles, Maggette, Odom and QRich. Took them several years to really learn how to be solid pros on the court except for Miles who never really contributed as a positive, even later in his career.
Ya I'm not going to knock out Cade for one bad shooting night. His form looks smooth and confident so I don't doubt he'll be at least a decent shooter in the league.
