Stop looking at JC on O and pay attention to his D… Potential Bigger stronger pat Bev.. All the other stuff will be developed over time… When have you seen a 19 yr old defend like this? Such a competitive spirit… I love the guy .. He will earn minutes with that effort
Actually, for a team that doesn't have a real point-guard, I don't think we played a bad first half. Christopher is just a little excited and he wants to show off. It's normal for a player of this age. I don't blame him. Need to see the rest of the matches. Although Sengun and Green seem a little more ready than him, they also have their weaknesses, of course, but it's still fun to watch all these kids! At one point the Rockets were down 10 points. Please see +/- in the box-score. Marcus Foster and Matthew Hurt may have given us some trouble. Houston Rockets vs Cleveland Cavaliers Aug 8, 2021 Box Scores | NBA.com
I think he has above league average foot speed and vertical. Nothing great, he needs time to get caught up to speed and work on stamina
Not to bash, but man Josh had BOTH Green and KJM on the wings on that fast break and didn’t trying to lob it up to one of them? He probably made the right play since they never committed to stopping the ball but that’s one of those situations you just throw up and let magic happen.
Sengun and Green look good. Sengun is a natural rebounder and very strong down low; plays with a lot of confidence. Christopher flashes talent but needs to play with more confidence and be more aggressive. kj Martin and Thomas basically look like they’ve picked up from where they left off last year.
I like that green reminds me of harden in that it doesn't seem like he's done much but he has 13 pts already. I dont know if thats good or bad but I'm excited for the next few years.
I think the biggest knock on him pre-draft was the lack of athleticism that you’re talking about. He’s not twitchy, but he’s smart enough that he doesn’t need to be. Arguably the players who were less athletic at a younger age like Harden had to develop a more advanced “old man” type of game that’s sustainable.
ESPN just cant help themselves by inserting "wokeness" into everything they talk about an interview with stephen silas about his rookies, then slowly morphs into a conversation about black coaches. What part doesnt ESPN get when it comes to this **** in our sports. You wanna politicize something, go work for cnn or msnbc
First half impressions for rooks: Jalen Green: Efficient scoring and taking good looks (minus that last chuck). Looking good on defense, but needs to dominate the ball more and facilitate on offense. Sengun: Good finishing around the rim and is working incredibly hard on both ends of the floor, but will need to work on conditioning and stamina. All the tools are there. Josh C: Good instincts going downhill and defensively, but needs to make his decisions on offense sooner and should facilitate less than he is at the moment. Garuba: Has yet to be scored on in this game
