she should mask up for consistency or the WH mask mandate should clearly call out exceptions and explain why (instead of leaving it up to guess work)

I’m assuming it’s a combination of (a) she’s getting regular, perhaps daily, COVID tests, and (b) she’s distanced away from the crowd when at the podium. Neither of those things apply to the press or the general public.

For the purposes of messaging and not confusing people, a mask would probably be a good idea.

right... those and other good reasons, but it does confuse people and that's a problem for the press sec. Yet I also can counter that distance doesn't matter so much if there is poor indoor air circulation.

I think the appropriate message is mask help reduce the chances, not eliminate it. You must wear mask but there are exceptions. Drinking, eating, giving a press conference from a distance (b/c we have great air filtering system), blah blah ...

Still a lame whataboutism from someone who has not supported any efforts to overcome the pandemic and instead argues against vaccines and masks in an effort to defend trumps inability to respond.

I think there's always been exceptions for speaking. There have been several times we've seen public figures taking mask off as they reach the podium. I think in those cases it falls back to constant testing and spacing.

Yet the several different vaccines for Covid-19 are to be shunned by a segment of our society, most of whom have been vaccinated for those diseases, and if they have children, have taken them to their pediatrician for the vaccinations required for public schools. The hypocrisy is incredible.

The continued stream of attacks against the Covid-19 vaccines is purely political, either knowingly, as we have certainly seen here, or due to being lied to by their sources for the news, which is also in evidence in Hangout and D&D. In my opinion. Take your pick.

You should love it then. You get to have protection for yourself but be an A$$hole at the same time and spread it. Sounds like something Trumpers should love.

I saw this stupidity on social media today. So not surprised you are posting it here.

CDC recommendation is indoor masking in high transmission areas, even if vaccinated. We all know Obama and his leftish friends are triple vaccinated and the event itself is held in a tent outdoor, at a location that doesn't have high transmission.

This is not for the poster who has shown his mind is already closed but for anyone else who reads this and is faced with trying to convince someone to take the vaccine.

Yes you should research the safety of vaccines and certainly talk to your doctor. What you are going to find is that the COVID-19 vaccines have been extensively tested with trials of hundreds of thousands (larger than many other vaccines), and since their availability to the public hundreds of millions have taken them.

While there have been some adverse side effects those are minuscule (1 out of millions). You're more likely to have a serious car crash on your way to getting vaccinated than you are suffering an adverse side effect.

They aren't consulting their doctors...just demanding quack treatments or complaining about feeling judged (wahhh) for not making a "political decision"
