If beating up on the rangers is firing on all cylinders

7-3 in their last 10 and 3 in a row is what I consider firing on all cylinders. But yes, go on.

If you mean earned his salary by being a part of the roster, then yes, you are correct.

He's currently hitting .185 and no amount of advanced metrics can get around this. I dont care how many walks he's gotten. Do you trust him in the playoffs? Are you happy that a dude that cant hit his weight is going to be making 6 mil next year and taking up a roster spot that a young cheap guy like Pawpierski (SP?) or Lee could be getting MLB experience behind a vet like Maldy?

It may take a Bump Bailey moment to get Meyers into a game.

Dusty's waiting until we face a left-handed Starting Pitcher to get McCormick AND Meyers in the outfield.

I don't know whether Meyers is any good or not, but at this point I'm actively losing respect for Dusty as a person. The kid has no starts and 3 PA, 2 against closers. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no healthy player on our team has gone more than 5 days without getting a start, he's now gone 10 ( will be 11 tomorrow)

He's actively doing what he can to make this kid fail because he's being a petty POS.

Castro has a base salary of 2.5 million next year. With bonuses, his total compensation is likely to be about 4.5 million for 2022. And the team has a lot of money coming off the books next year so that hit is less impactful than the 3.5 million this year.

He was hitting well pre-injury and has been bad since he came back. I believe old catchers are bad hitters, so I'm not saying I want to see him hit much in the playoffs (although he's no worse than Maldy). I think if the powers that be had any faith in Garrett Stubbs, they wouldn't have signed Castro.

Castro's pay for next year is 2.5 million plus 1 million in signing bonus. Then he gets 500k for every 10 starts he makes at catcher this season. He's at 28 starts right now. If he makes 2 more starts he is making 5 million next season. If he makes 12 more starts he is making 5.5 million.

I am meh on having a backup catcher with an on base percentage significantly better than average for a catcher on a salary for backup catcher. Making a big deal about $3M or even 5M for a backup catcher is silly.

meh the A’s just never seem to worry me. They always inevitably get in their own way. They’ve beat up on the Angels and Rangers And split 2 with the Padres. Granted they’re doing what we are failing at, namely beating the inferior teams. They sure did make some opportune trades for that offense though

At some point can’t click or crane step in and say something to him? Or can’t the media call him out on it and put him in an awkward spot

Chas has been playing well. Can someone explain why people are b****ing about not benching Chas to start a rookie call up?

    Backup QB syndrome...

He's the new hotness and they want to see what he can do since he was crushing it in AAA.
