It's quite sad and just so unnecessary. Elderly and pre existing conditions, and you DON'T get the vaccine? Aside from a not so nice history of being experimented on in Tuskegee, I don't understand it.

One post in response to four and I'm the one being political. I understand.

not sure if this is in reference to COVID posts on this thread, but COVID vaccines are not a political issue. It is a humanitarian one, and should be a bipartisan one for any educated individual.

When trigger words like "sheep" start to get thrown around it takes a serious topic and turns it into a trivial one. I really like your content @Marshall Bryant and I mean no ill will personally against you with my opinion.

People who take the vaccine are not "sheep" ... People who refuse to take the vaccine are entitled to their choice. I thought the country was past the finger pointing, lying and blaming of the last 4.5 years and was actually starting to heal and then I run into this type of sht.

If you took the vaccine - awesome good for you hope it brings some peace and calm into your life. If you didnt or plan not to that is your choice - why bully and name call those who feel it helps?

Sport is where we can relax and find some compassion and humanity among us - dont pollute that. I beg you.

Edit: deleted...not going to bother. People are entitled to their opinions, and their selfish ignorance, even when it goes against science, and the general well-being of themselves, their loved ones, and strangers.

Not looking into getting into an internet argument, but I always find it funny when someone calls somebody else a "sheep" for not following their viewpoints. Just let people believe what they want, just as you want them to let you believe in what you do.

Now back to the actual subject...I really wish I had seen JR pitch. I wish Enos had been in the booth all night telling JR stories.

You really thought this? Really? This nation is as divided as I have ever seen it. And it's getting worse and worse by the day. Biden is just as much of a scumbag as the previous occupant. All of Congress should be removed and lobbying should be banned along with term limits instituted among other things. Then we could hold new elections. But it's a friggin' pipedream. We are end-stage Roman Empire with China breathing down our necks. If only we could start over completely.

He was better than Randy, and I saw them both pitch. The best I ever saw. Rest in Peace, JR. You earned it, and then some.

I remember back when he was pitching for the Astros. I was in elementary school and went to Clear Lake Elementary School. There was a fire at our school and we had to be bus-driven to an alternate school for classes and share classes with those who went to that school. I forget what school it was but it wasn’t Clear Creek and seemed like a good ride. Anyway, there was a black kid in one of my classes who was related to JR and everyone would whisper about it. Cool story, bro! Yes, it was a weird experience having to go to another school and share classes with the natives. I was an Astros fan even back then. I never talked to this kid or anything.

    RIP J.R.

Some good comments in this thread. He was a great one and I'm glad I got to see him play a few times. The Astros seemed so cursed back in those days. J.R., the Phillies playoffs, the Mets, Dickie Thon, bad owners... it was too much. At the same time the Oilers were having the same kind of luck with the Steelers, the Renfro non-catch, and Bud Adams. The relief that first Rockets' championship brought was profound. As a Houston sports fan, it was almost unbelievable that we won a championship.

Those years with J.R. also set up my lifelong hate for the Dodgers. I guess Steve Garvey can now relax again and doesn't have to pretend to be injured anymore.

I shook his hand in the concourse at Minute Maid park a few years back. I think he was genuinely happy to be recognized. Biggest hand you’d ever see.

I'm with you on the vaccine , I'm vaccinated but I dont look down on those who aren't vaccinated. They feel the way they do for very good reason. The vaccine hasn't gone through the trials that most drugs/vaccines do.

As far as the last 4.5 years, glad to see you voted for higher unemployment/taxes and inflation. Enjoy the choices you've made.
