[More Accurate Translation]Alperen Sengun First NBA Interview

Man, I knew it! lol. I was watching one of these other random interviews and she was interrupting the questions and Al P's responses. She didn't come off like an experienced translator.

I'm not mad at it though. Sometimes you got to put your people on. We dragging family and friends out the mud, lol

I mean yeah. It's not like he would say he is poor or average on defense or something. It will automatically be a positive answer.

 

One of the clips in the Garuba thread shows him blocking Sengun at least twice. Garuba was smothering on defense. These are exciting times, my friends.

 

Translation is just a hobby of hers, thats not why she is around.

 

Hopefully the Rockets find a Translator for Alperen Sengun.

Hopefully find another Colin Pine translator. Colin is super smart translating Chinese, English I was super impressed back than. Yao always teasing Colin was super funny. Yao asked a question, Colin messed up. Yao said about Colin "Rookie".

What i meant is shes maybe not average but slightly above… im not sure i would even notice her and some dudes are loosing their minds

 

Yeah... have lived in Europe and travel there often for business..... not really true about lots of women that look like her, but okay.

Lots of beautiful women in the USA and in Lebanon in my experience.... Turkey is hit or miss... Europe has in general less 10's than the USA, but more 7-8's,

I would cut her some slack - this is kind of the definition of hindsight being 20/20. OF COURSE the guy who could watch the video and methodically translate Sengun word for word after pausing it many times is going to be more accurate. I mean, translating a person speaking a long paragraph without breaks exactly word for word in real time with a zillion cameras on is probably a very difficult thing to do and requires a lot of practice. She's clearly in her early 20s - how much practice translating has she realistically had?

Hell I couldn't repeat back what my wife said in English word for word in English without screwing it up if she went on and on like that so props to the translator for the attempt.
