If nothing else, last night at least answered the question, "What would 52,000 toddlers throwing a temper tantrum look like"?
His fastball spin rate has dropped by about 250 rpm which puts him in the top 7-8 spin drops in the game.
Maybe optimistic but thinking this may be a turning point in LMJ career where he becomes a true ace. You know he thinks he’s better than Walker Bueler and wanted to show it. Can’t say how impressed I am by his moxy and dedication to his teammates, leadership qualities becoming Verlander, Scherzer like.
This is the kind of dumb **** that pisses me off. It’s disingenuous and written solely to incite a fan base. But the dumb **** who wrote it has enough national clout to will bullshit into fact. I don’t care about fans throwing trash cans but irresponsible media sucks ass.
Maybe Lance is now the ace. Great win last night. The….what I don’t understand column. Why didn’t this series start Monday night with Tuesday night the last game? Why not play this afternoon? Instead it’s an 8:40pm CDST start Wednesday night. Game gets over around midnight. Astros leave LA around 2-4 am and fly back to Houston arriving Thursday morning and then play Thursday night. What kind of bs is that, MLB? EDIT….Dodgers are off tomorrow night. Thanks MLB. Really fair?
You will typically see all teams play every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday… with Monday/Thursday being the usual off-days/travel days. There are rare instances where a team will have a random friday off… or a random Sunday off.. but those are really less than a handful of teams/year with those instances. They certainly could have made this a day game… but MLB wants it to be showcased in prime time. I think the Astros will be fine, as are most teams in this scenario. The starting pitcher will be well rested on Thursday and their peformance is still at least 50% contributing to the outcome of that game.
It's not any different than most games. Teams want night games. On July 21 Houston and Cleveland played a night game in Houston. Houston was off on the 22nd, Cleveland wasn't.
sideshow bob is the definition of a scary ass. that liquid courage sure can come back to get you. heckle all you want. Once you put your hands on someone that crosses the line. Dudes lucky he didn't instantly get rocked. He deserved one right there. Shout out to the Astros dudes not giving a fck
