Diaz is doing just fine. Come back when he's well physically and has his batting eye and not a day before
Looks like a riot in the making. Maybe we should just demand the games be forfeited by the Dodgers for failing to provide a safe working environment.
So much of this. With Diaz back, and with some other options (I know we don't want Robel in there, but he can play a game at 3rd if needed, maybe same could be said for newly acquired Jacob Wilson (?)), Bregman should be back when he is 100%. I am sure he wants to get back there as soon as possible, but I don't want him back too early with lingering issues.
I really hope we shut these douche nozzles up. It would be so satisfying to go there and take the 2 games.
Odds are heavily against us winning this series. We don't know Brantley's status, no Bregman, and Pressly is probably still on paternity leave. I would consider stealing ONE game a massive success.
I went to the Saturday and Sunday games in SF. The number of people booing Altuve while wearing a Bonds jersey was astounding.
I'll gladly take a split. The pitching matchups look rough on their faces, but that's why they play the games.
True....but we might not see them in the World Series. This might be the only moment we get to out class them again in their own stadium.
If any body needs a good laugh, take a look at what cody bellyacher is slashing. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/bellico01.shtml
Agree, on paper we should lose both games. That's why we play them though. McCullers is a great pitcher when he is honed in. We had a day off so our relief pitchers are set. Odorizzi has been solid going through the order twice. Pull him after that and piggy back him with Javier. Hope he is sharp. Offense work the counts, hope to make hard contact with a few mistakes and play good D. Astros should walk away with the sweep.
I'm not worried about bats or Greinke/McCullers. Key is bullpen - they need to keep their composure to win these games. Otherwise, it's going to be a mess.
That's fantastic. Martin Maldonado is out hitting Bellypoop Maldy .179 AVG, .270 OBP, .580 OPS, 61 OPS+ Bellypoop .163 AVG, .263 OBP, .548 OPS, 51 OPS+
Not likely, but the best medicine for this b**** franchise and its whiny smug hypocrite fan base is a 26-2 shellacking over the next two days. Rub their high-faluting noses in it; show no mercy. Hit six bombs off Scherzer and say, welcome to the West, b****.
No amount of booing will change the fact that Dodgers Stadium is forever a happy place for the Astros.
