Why are some people freaking out over this signing? It’s not like we are competing anytime soon. They need to add some bench and vets to help out the rookies. I agree maybe the years are too much but you know the Rockets would probably trade him anyway at some point if they need to clear cap space.
Is there a such thing as a poor man's Clint Capela that would have been available? I really do miss his skillset on this team, and losing that lob threat was the beginning of the end for the Rockets, in my opinion that was the first domino to cause the teardown and a mistake that no one wants to admit since they have convinced themselves RoCo was so great. Would love to have a rim runner and shot blocker on this team with a vet presence.
Meh, he's overpaid for what he brings and the contract is longer than it should be, but it's nothing to get worked up about one way or the other. He's decent insurance for the 2 young bigs this season and some depth for future seasons as they surpass him
