"Nah, because this city sucks." "One hundred million dollars, five years." "I..........love it here. Where's the pen? MO MONEY MO MONEY MO MONEY." Opens window, leans out: "I'M RICH, BIIAAAAATCH!" "That's okay, let it out. Kevin Love did the same thing. Of course, he hurt his hand on the windowsill when he did it, but, yeah...."
the Pelicans are a joke, but people will be up in arms when Zion demands out in the future and start crying about how hard it is for small markets…
I don't like everything Pels do, didn't like bringing Adams, don't like Valenciunas for them And I'm high on Lonzo... but 21 mill per? Nah son Satoransky is a legitimately good player, who's really not much of a downgrade from Lonzo, for less than half the price. This was a good move for them
Pelicans FO is just desperate enough to do it, but everything they're doing is to keep Zion happy & give him the impression they're serious about building a winning roster. And I doubt Zion interprets a trade for (what's left of) John Wall & his massive contract as a positive move.
John Wall, for as selfish as he was with us, has juice left in him. He would be a great fit with Zion. Come on Pelicans, grow some balls and do it.
they’ve downgraded every single year of Zion’s career from Jrue to Lonzo to Satoransky who isn’t a difference maker got all this cap space after their draft night trade, and it will be embarrassing if all they can manage is Satoransky level signings
They did that trade with the Grizz and got Trey Murphy over Ziaire Williams, who are similar prospects I think they REALLY need a stretch 5 so the only part of that deal I disliked was taking back JV. Expiring Holiday who was gonna jet for 4 1sts was a solid deal too I think we should be patient before judging them, Zion is really young, they got Ingram and a hoard of picks to improve the roster with
I agree he's a positive when he's on the court, but he only played 40 of 72 games last season. Granted, his "hamstring injury" at the end may have been for tank purposes, but I'm willing to bet that teams want to see more from him before considering trades. Hopefully he starts strong as an audition for the rest of the league and gets swapped before game 20. I just don't see him going before the start of the season, though. Also, if he seems rejuvenated, then the number of assets we have to pony up to free ourselves from his contract goes down.
who I really gotta laugh at is the Knicks giving 10 mil/yr deals to bring back 2 bench players on their 1st round exit squad
Noel was the starter for most of the season when Mitch went down and was excellent. That's a very good deal
