don’t really care if we re-sign him, he’s not crucial here

if we do, I would only do a 1 year overpay or like a 2/20 deal max…I’m not bringing him back on a deal longer than 2 years

If he is willing to stay at a reasonable price, I'd love to keep him around to teach these kids how to be a professional basketball player.

He played so well here but was, of course, unfettered and allowed to run around the yard.

I would like to see him remain but that would mean something done with one of our other bigs (Wood, "Aspirin", Usman). Vegas $$$ probably says Olynyk indeed gets his paycheck elsewhere.

KO is exactly the kind of big you want Sengun to be working with and watching his first year. If Alp can stretch his shooting range he'll really be the complete offensive center. Kelly was such a great fit in Silas system, there is no guarantee he goes to a contender and has near the impact he can have here. I'd love to see us sign him for 2-years and have an impact on shaping the kid's growth.

Only 2 things matter for next season:

    1. develop the young guys
    2. Have one of the 3 worst record in the league

Yes, if he isn't asking for too much. We need veteran to guide all the young players we got.

I think we should re-sign him if possible. He can be a good mentor to our new frontcourt players and he had good chemistry with Wood and KPJ. If he has a two year deal that expires along with Wall's it would be perfect. Plus, he can be a trade asset if still on the roster whereas he can't help us if we let him walk. The only drawback might be he takes time away from the young guys, but I think the team knows that development is the number one priority. I'm not too concerned with the cost of the contract, I'm not counting Tilman's money.

Sign him to a 2 year deal. At worst he can be used as salary cap filler at the trade deadline.

Bring him back on a 2 year $30m contract. Year 1 is $18m and the 2nd year a player option for $12m. It will take some time before Sengun and Garuba are ready to start. Man, the bench next year is going to be crazy fun to watch.

This seems most logical. Maybe give him a 1 year $12-15 mil type deal similar to Ariza or JJ Reddick and trade him at the deadline for another expiring + an asset or two. I really think Olynyk proved he could be a solid big on a contender despite not getting much PT in Miami. A team like the Clippers, Mavs or 76ers could use him as depth in the 2nd half of the season and playoff run.

I love Kelly O, but we need to give development time to Sengun, Garuba, KMJ, JST along with Wood in the frontcourt - seems like a good mix already and cheap for the most part.

Yes, he can teach the young bucks .....we have too many kids, we need some veterans that can help them become NBA players.

Resign him for ~10M and trade him for James Wiseman at the deadline.

    Exactly!

Kelly even if signed will not impact winning much. But he may impact playing time for both Sengun and Garuba.
