    John Lucas is his trainer. I will 100% give him the benefit of the doubt he’s well respected in NBA circles and I imagine he wanted Josh for this pick.

    Did not like at first, but after some thought... Its not a bad pick, looks like Josh has tons of upside... We all wanted Stone to have at least try a homerun pick... Here it is..

    After Stone can spot talents like KPJ, Kenyon Martin JR, and also undrafted guys like Tate, Khyri, and Armoni.. I think we can atleast have some confidence on his talent scouting.

    Besides as other guys said.. We have our guys with Jalen, Sengun, and Garuba.. we have the room to make a homerun pick in this draft.

    I'm also now on the Christopher who? bandwagon.. but hopefully he can develop and surprise us. He has time behind our many guards.

    Not to mention that the last time this guy played in an official game was basically 6 months ago due to injury. Could easily be a guy that worked his tail off these past couple of months and worked on the things that were knocks against him and proved he can improve by impressing in workouts. Let's hope so at least. He definitely is a talented player and could be a solid 6th man. Was rated as #11 recruit out of high school in 2020. I am cautiously optimistic. Could he play at the same time as KPJ and Green? Seems like a decent rebounder for a guard but not sure he is good enough to play that many guards that aren't strong defenders or rebounders at the same time.

    Why'd we draft this guy? Feels like a G-league pick. Maybe Stone wants to make him into a 6th man.

    Looks fine to me . Athletic , big guard . No one we took at this spot is gonna be a surefire homerun .

    upside is there . I doubt it’s about the green/kpj friendship

    Don't know much about Grimes but compare Grimes Freshman year to Christopher's and you will see why the Rockets took Christoper and LAC took Grimes. If Rockets were win now like the Clips then maybe they take Grimes. They are not win now so someone like Christopher who is still highly touted and only 19 is worth taking at pick 24.

    true, high reward pick at #24.
    the only complain, we could probably got him at #31 too, so basically traded Tucker for nothing but a fatter FRP contract.

    So he trained with JLIII and that probably got to pops and then Green connection must have sealed it last, so thinking it's just us bending over for our new star is a reach...around.
