wow, dismantling the role players? This may work in our favor. KD was just talking about extensions, but if nets cut corners even like the heat did withmike miller that can turn off the stars.

    He is!

If this trade doesn't end up being more, the Nets will have gotten a pretty good defensive guard in Carter. With all the offense that KD/Harden/Kyrie generate, I guess they think they don't need Shamet.

Maybe they’ll try to trade some of those picks for future draft capital?

Suns might be trying to hedge their bets on CP3 not returning.

If CP3 doesn't pick up his player option, Shamet immediately starts and the Suns have a bunch of money to use on depth. If CP3 returns and signs an extension, then all is still right in the Suns' world and Shamet becomes first dude off the bench.

Deep draft so the Nets are trying to find some cheap players because paying that big 3 is going to drain all their cap space. Just wait and see Harden will be gone to LA in 2 years or less.

They're apparently trying to trade Jordan, so they'll have better role players next season.

Shamet was an inconsistent shooter who couldn't play a lick of defense.

Shamet is like a replacement level player at best. It was a mistake to trade a first-round pick for him the first place.
