Does he pass the ball well enough?

Just keep watching the Olympics. His play shows how much he belongs on a bigger stage.

Garuba could join a playoff contender and contribute immediately. He has a great feel for the game for a nineteen-year-old. Slightly bigger than Montrezl Harrell, Garuba plays better defense (individually and in team concepts). I think if he comes over to the US, he can make millions more than in Europe. My guess is that's why he's betting on himself. His first-year rookie contract would essentially pay for his buyout.

Let's hope other teams aren't willing to read the fine print and pass on him. He's an absolute steal at #23.

I like that too. Todd is on the Rockets radar per ch44. He is a terrific insider. I can live with that.

As long as he's willing to make that bet and play for free for a year or 2 essentially then I would absolutely love to have him here especially that late in the draft. A draft of Green, Garuba, and Thor would be one that would have me drooling over the potential long term (and if Thor ends up being too raw and doesnt develop then I think Garuba has a good shot to offset that and absorb that hit).

Out of all the players mocked to us Cooper is the only one that doesn't excite me at all. Undersized at 6'1", 22% from three and 39% FG% overall. I don't get it. He scored a lot of points but clearly took a lot of shots to do it. I'm going for guys with size if it was up to me.

Orlando definately has a "type". Length, and athleticism and defense over offensive polish. My first impression is that it wouldnt make any sense to pick him that high, but it does kind of fit with what they seem to like.

Its about the passing, not the scoring. Most likely to make the sportscenter top ten with a slick pass. If you want a "white chocolate"/Rod Strickland type to push hard on the break, he's the best bet in the draft.

Lots of flash. At only 19, you hope you can polish up the rougher scoring issues.

They already taking Barnes or Kuminga at 5. Doesnt make any sense to me even if they have a type, they'll have a bunch of athletes with no spacing.

Lol we got Wall, KPJ and Khyri though. Wonder how much polish 3rd string pg can get with 5-10 mins a night.

I hope we dont use a pick for yet another small guard, esp one without a smooth shot considering the quality of this draft.

Are you hearing anything about the possibilities of an EG deal?
