Look, Tate works hard. KJM too. KPJ is getting better. Nwaba was working hard before he got hurt and Wood was playing really well at times like a budding star before he got hurt. The media can't do anything with their words. The refs are biased , but they can't stop us from progressing.

At the end of the day, you have to be a professional player. Do your best, even if you're traded. That's not cool, but that can happen with any team.

 

From reading about it all, it seems that the Pistons are in love with Cade and Green. Some in the Piston’s organization seem to prefer Green. Hence, as it seems that the Rockets got wind of that…. And all of a sudden, Houston maybe for optics is all in on Green; which will force Detroit to use its pick or trade it directly to Houston. Which brings us to the real question, is Houston’s interest in Green authentic, or a bluff to force Detroit to take whatever Houston offered for the #1 pick.

But it’s looking like there might not be that big a separation between Cade and Green, and Every mock draft has moved from the practical Mobley to Houston consensus to Green to Houston consensus.

Cade's maturity and polish gives him the edge over Green and Mobley. Stone might want Cade over everyone else. Weaver has the upper hand over Stone. He can take whomever he wants.

 

Can’t decide if I’m super pissed at Mobley and his handlers for denying us a workout or if I’m just bummed out about it. Maybe some combination of both.

I really wanted him to come in and kill his workout and place doubt in their minds about who to take. His ceiling is so unique and it’s hard to pass on a guy that can potentially do EVERYTHING possible on a basketball court. Yes everything. His road to fulfilling his full potential will be a little bumpier because it’s almost like he’s good at several things, but not really great at them, but he has absolutely limitless potential. I feel pretty confident that he will be a stud defensively because of his ability to switch, recover and still protect the rim. Really good instincts and anticipation.

I do have some concerns about his mental approach and motor. Often times that makes a big difference in whether or not these guys become what we envision they can be.

Yes, I agree with you. But Detroit won't be able to have their cake and eat it too by trading down to # 3. Houston's message to Detroit is use your pick, or else we are taking your preferred pick. Can y'all imagine the dilemma that Detroit is in right now, if they really are more in on Green than Cade? Where they can get a kings ransom for Cade, but the player they ultimately want in green won't be there for their picking. Seems there are plenty of 1st round picks being thrown Detroits way for that #1 pick, but they risk losing out on their top two players.

And I think most Mock draft, if not all of the one I've seen have Cade as an undisputed #1 pick of the 2021 draft.

Detroit is in an enviable position, because they can pick whomever they want, if they go with Green, they will have left value on the table. So, it's up to them to do their dealing an wheeling to maximize the value for their team.


End of the draft day, I think Detroit picks Cade; with Houston keeping it's #2 pick. The threat of Green not getting past Houston might be the trick that prevents the Pistons from making that move.... But, I just don't want Houston to give a kings ransom for the swap of #2 and #1, as had been written substantially by several rumors.

Jalen and KPJ making lovey dovey hand signals and posts to each other isn't remotely close to a "we're in love with this guy and he's likely the guy we're going to pick" implication from the Rockets front office.

If that's what Mobley/Suggs agent is denying workouts from... then screw em.
