I wish Trump's people could peacefully protest like that. They didn't attack law enforcement, weren't shouting death threats, and still tried to make their point.

Also a press conference isn't the workings of government like the certification of a free and fair election. I'm just saying. :)

I listened to some of the testimony this morning and the thought that was going through my mind was what prosecutors said in closing at Derek Chauvin's trial. "You can believe your eyes.."

We've heard a lot about how this wasn't that bad. It really was just like a normal tourists visit and etc.. We all saw this unfold in real time and since then have seen much more of it and heard the direct testimony under oath of those who were charged with protecting the Capitol.

For all the obfuscation, distraction and redirection this was as serious and as dangerous as what we all saw.

It's not a bunch of Muslims or Antifa training out in the woods with paramilitary tactics..... it's conservatives.

    in·sur·rec·tion
    /ˌinsəˈrekSH(ə)n/
    noun
    1. a violent uprising against an authority or government.

Disrupting a presser by a pedo and an idiot is not insurrection.

Storming the capital to overturn a fair election and kill elected officials is.

The Pedo and Idiot are just grandstanding trying to stay relevant by "defending" those insurrectionists.

I certainly agree that the intelligence agencies and what they knew beforehand should be looked at, what decisions were made by who regarding LE presence at the Capitol and the why the National Guard wasn't deployed sooner.

None of that though diminishes the seriousness of what happened that day. Further it's become a part of the argument of the Right to shift responsibility to Pelosi yet it should be noted she isn't the actually commander of the Capitol PD and oversight is actually split between House and Senate. On Jan. 6th the Senate was still controlled by Republicans. Also on Jan. 6th the Trump admin was still in office and running the intelligence agencies and the DOD.

So yes those issues should be looked at but I doubt they're going to exonerate the Trump Admin or shift more blame. If anything they likely will make the Trump Admin. look worse. I strongly suspect the only reason why Republicans are pushing this argument is that they know that there actually won't be an investigation of intel agencies and which is why they didn't agree to the non partisan commission that might've looked deeper into it.

Why can't he both answer and ask questions?

    It's not a trial.
