So the female version of Ghostbusters in 2016 was basically a series of unscripted improv sketches with no weight.

This time they seem to be going for a super serious nostalgia trip with no jokes.

How bout somewhere in the middle? What happened to a story about broke fat guys running a ghost extermination business?

The trailer certainly had a seriousness to it, but I would trust Jason Reitman to nail the tone and strike a good balance of thrills, action, and humor.

This is the movie that should have kicked of a return to the franchise, then they could have expanded with an all-female cast, but a better story than the 2016 version gave us.

Nothing is wrong with bringing girls into the cast. But All girls? Seemed like pandering.
