Jalen Green should be the pick

I appreciate the write up. As a #2 pick I expect him to get at least some minutes. If points per game is disputed because of minutes played, we can easily switch to per 100.

Also 15 pts is not unrealistic right? I didn't set it too high on purpose. For a future rookie that supposedly dominated grown men in the G-League, he should have provide some instant offense no?

128 pages and growing. Wasn't that whole selling point of Green? Less on passing or defense, but I am expecting offense (scoring and hopefully efficiency). Don't think that's too much to ask.

All the talk, time for the walk.

They may really like Green, if the reports are true, and they are posturing to squeeze something out of the Rockets (if the reports are true about their Cunningham love). I can't wait until Thursday, it's going to be fun.

I see Green's body/frame being a minus/concern on most scouting reports but I don't get why. Elite guards in the NBA today are all slender: Curry, Beal, Lavine, Lillard, Booker, SGA, etc. It's rare that you get a mammoth like Harden or Luka nowadays.

It's a massive positive imo. He has body control like a bigger Iverson. I think he gonna be great!

Man if they don't stfu about the Lavine and Beal comparisons. Beal is like 5'11 that makes difficult jumpshots so as Lavine, they take what the defense gives them. Nobody can stay in front of Green and he does not settle for contested jumpers , if he did he created a mile of space.

I don't think it's a massive positive, however, it shouldn't be looked at as a negative either. If this kid can get to the basket and finish strong, what's the big deal about him being thin? That he'll get injured? Fat players get injured all the time too lol

Hard for young bucks to put on weight. Metabolism it too high, they eventually fill out.

Cade announces he's on team Nike and sucks the oxygen out of the room.
So Jalen is going to reinforce his own image out there, get Detroit to lean Green?

    Guess we'll all find out.

Think they’re on Zoom with NBA media (only). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My guess is Green (like most young players) will be below average, if not terrible on defense to start. He'll have his hands full adjusting to the NBA and will be more worried about scoring than anything else.

Edwards played all 72 games last season but La-melo and Wiseman both miss games due to injuries. That's something unpredictable.

Quick, someone tell Mobley to name drop Olajuwon. :)

Should we like Green more if he actually watched Drexler and McGrady?
