Do I understand this correctly? His garbage franchise brought in a sexual predator, but he doesn't worry about it, and it doesn't bother him?? Surely I misunderstand.

If that's right, those dodger fans have no more leg to stand on (as if they ever had any) to criticize the Astros. That's worse than a dumpster fire.

I took it as that quote was said at the time of the signing... emphasizing that they initially didn't care about the baggage.

Now that the baggage has led to some major **** hitting the fan, they're left to second-guess whether or not this was the right "win at all costs" move.

Will be very interesting to see if the media takes up the mantle to ostracize a cutthroat front office mentality... much like Allison Footer and the SI reporter did with the Astros and Osuna.

From this we learn the hearing will be rescheduled for August 19, and the Players Association will not agree to an extension of Administrative leave, if even asked. Administrative leave will be dropped by 8/2 so Bauer can face the Astros to MLBs applause on 8/3 or 8/4. Then immediately returned to Administrative leave.

Haha shitbags like Passan, Olney, Nightengale, etc admit they flogged a dead horse with their Astros reactions?? There's a better chance Chavez Ravine opens up and swallows that shitty ass stadium.

I assume this quote was before this stuff came out and the baggage he was talking about was Bauer being a general *******.

What I learned from this was that the hearing is expected to take 2-3 days, and those days will be August 2nd, 3rd and 19th (if necessary). Also, that the administrative leave can be extended again but MLBPA will have to approve, which I'm sure they will. I'm not sure what you read.

I never touch the stuff. However, a little ~sarcasm~ sometimes looks similar and that is my style.

What does it take for the Dodgers to be free of their financial obligations to Bauer?

I do. I want the dodgers to be on the hook for paying as long as possible.
