2 for 6, 16, 18, Rockets get all their picks back. (2024, 2025 swap, 2026, 2027 2nd) Thunder Attempt To Trade Up In Draft The Oklahoma City Thunder have been active in trade conversations on moving up in the draft with Cade Cunningham and Evan Mobley rumored to be the prospects they're most interested in selecting. The Thunder own picks No. 6, 16 and 18 in the first round this year in addition to more future draft picks than any other team in the NBA. Oklahoma City theoretically has enough assets to move up but the question is whether they will find the cost too exorbitant. If the Thunder stay at No. 6, they are connected to James Boutknight. Oklahoma City had interest in Bouknight dating back to last year's draft when he decided to remain at UConn.
phew, it may be a good move to bring in the oklahoma college kid and have him and Shai be very long backcourt who can do it all. they may have better assets than us to trade too, but I'm not too worried bc I'm loving the options at no 2 as well and I want to keep all my assets unless its for a true star.
Ready for my pipe dream?? Pelicans: Wall + #23 Rockets: Brandon Ingram Pacers: Gordon, House, #24 Rockets: Turner, #13 Draft Green at #2 Scoot, Green, Ingram, Wood, Turner Tate, KJ, Augustine, Brooks, Brown, Nwaba, Wilson, Olynyk, #13 I think that squad can make some noise and be fun to watch
Top 5 most unrealistic trades I've seen on here Let me trade this broke down Corvette and 5 years of free car washes for that slightly used Tesla
Trade #1: CHI - HOU - LAC - PHI - IND CHI: PG Patrick Beverley (LAC) from Chi-town; gives their team some moxie + pick #50 (via PHI) LAC: PG John Wall (HOU) He wants to play for a contender and he deserves that chance. PHI: PG Rajon Rondo (PHI) Philly is going to move Simmons; Rondo could start or backup Shake Milton; his salary fits into TE IND: G Eric Gordon (HOU) + G/F Luke Kennard (LAC) + G/F Danuel House (HOU) + pick #23 + MIL 2023 FRP (top 5 protected) HOU: C/F Myles Turner + pick #13 + pick #38 (via CHI) It seems like Detroit will not be tempted so Rox grab Green with #2. Trade #2: #13 + #24 to SAC for #9 + 2023 2nd PG KPJ - DJA - Thomas SG Green (2) - Brown - Brooks SF Murphy (9) - Tate - Nwaba PF Wood - KMJ - DJW C Turner - Olynyk - Sims (38) 2-way: Greg Brown + ???? Re-sign G Sterling Brown (BAE) Re-sign C Kelly Olynyk (Bird) Re-sign G Armoni Brooks (RFA) Re-sign D.J. Wilson (RFA - Bird) Re-sign G/F David Nwaba (early Bird) *Boom* Roasted
Looks more and more like Jalen Green will be the pick.... If so, John Wall gotta go. Already mentioned teams that might be willing to take on Wall / need a scoring or lead PG - Knicks (maybe, but they could land Bronx native Kemba Walker from OKC for cheapish or their fav target PG Dame Lillard from POR) - Clippers (would require some combination of PG Pat Bev, G/F Luke Kennard, PG Rajon Rondo, & probably Yogi Ferrell. It could be done, but there are lots of moving parts / contracts already showed how they could be cut up into smaller deals) - T'Wolves (keep in the Htown family-ish, but Wolves only have Rubio and Evan Turner's ghost contract rights) So I think it boils down to two teams: CHI & MIA - Chicago is in win now mode and needs a lead PG - Miami another team in win now mode after playing in the championship last year and getting swept in the 1st round this year. You could easily send Wall to Chicago for G/F Tomas Satoransky & / or F Al-Farouq-Aminu I think Miami offers some interesting options and Miami is known for its splash moves (thanks Pat Riley!) HOU - MIA - CHI - DAL CHI: F/G Andre Iguodala (MIA) Illinois native, 3-time NBA champion plays for his childhood team to help them at least reach the playoffs DAL: G Goran Dragic (MIA) Slovenians Dragic & Doncic are tight and Dragic gives Dallas a secondary ballhandler (TWSS). Dallas loses some cap room this year, but gains for next season and keeps Doncic happy. MIA: G John Wall (HOU) Had one of his highest scoring averages last season. Can help push the tempo with the Heat. Could be reunited with Oladipo and they were a decent backcourt together. Time is running out and he wants playoff success. Call them the B(utler) O(ladipo) W(all) B(am) Squad... pronounced like Bowmb squad (but not really) HOU: F/G Jason Richardson (DAL) + G Ryan Arcidiacono (CHI) + #38 (via CHI) Dallas replaces Richardson with Dragic. Houston cuts salary and adds an interesting piece to its lineup. Arcidiacono gets bought out or moved for an asset that will never convey. PG KPJ - DJA - Thomas SG Green (2) - Brown - Brooks SF Richardson - EGo - Nwaba PF Tate - KMJ - DJW C Wood - Olynyk - Sims (38) 2-way: Greg Brown + ???? That's the boring trade and a real short starting 5 in Htown.... (yawn).. You make it more exciting by sending Tyler Herro, Eric Gordon, Josh Richardson, 23, & MIL 2023 (top 10 protected) to Indy for Myles Turner. No way they could say no to that. Heat get #13 & #24 for Herro (not a bad haul for a former #13) to replenish and pursue playoffs. yes... i am bored.... yes, I am still rehabbing... I know it shows... lol
There's a short cut to rebuild overnight, with all our picks. 1.) #2 + #23 + Wood for Zion (His family wants him out of N.O.) 2.) 4 teams trade: Ind. gets: Gordon, #11, Detroit FRP via Houston Cha. gets: Turner, #13 Por. gets: Roizer, House, Augustin, Bradley, and all Nets' 3 FRP + 3 Swap from Harden trade Hou. get: Lillard, Portland 22'/23' 2nd round picks 3.) #24 pick Garuba 4.) Wall + Washington FRP to Boston for Horford + Smart re-sign Olynyk, Brown, Nwaba we're back contending next season: Horford, Olynyk Zion, Garuba Tate, KMJ, Nwaba KPJ, Brown, Thomas, Brooks Lillard, Smart worst case scenario, if it doesn't work out you can still trade Zion & Lillard for tons of picks back
Things are fluid in the NBA. I can see Blazers budging, Oshley also has made lot of questionable moves. Don't see Griffin wearing down, since they just made moves. Never hurt to ask I suppose.
