It's significantly different than Kawhi's first one. Kawhi almost led the Spurs in scoring in addition to guarding Lebron. He trailed Tony Parker by 0.2 ppg.

Iguodala trailed Curry by almost 10 ppg. See the difference?

Iggys defense on lebron won then that title. If iggy didn’t win it. Lebron despite being on the losing team would have( he impact was undeniable)

It's counterintuitive that the FMVP would come from the losing team. The objective is to win, remember?

Curry's scoring and his role in the offense were more important than iggys contributions.

Pretty stupid rebuttal. Pray tell, what exactly do you think 1 game (especially one they lost) proves?

Top 3 / Top 5 voting results should be replaced by total MVP voting points won.
Sometimes the MVP is won by a large margin, a third placed player may barely have more votes/perceived impact than the 8th guy.
Sometimes the MVP just barely beat out 2nd place.

IMO an objective metric should account for the weight of voting distribution that differ each season.

The number is readily available on basketball reference.

So it's somehow a blemish on Curry's resume that KD wanted to play in an offense built around Curry?

    Weird take.

nobody besides kd can say for sure why he joined the warriors. Most people say he just wanted a free ring and curry could have been any other all star

At the end of the day kd dominated in a 4-1 series win over the cavs that curry choked against the year before

Nobody says that. Additionally, if that were the case, why didn't Durant join Harden (one of his best friends) in Houston?

If trying to demean X, then say Y:

Curry: He was carried by Durant, except when not and then in that case he was carried by other all stars
Durant: He's a beta and can't carry a team so he had to join super-friends
Thompson: He's not a real all-star and was carried by Curry
Green: fake all star who wouldn't be good anywhere else

It's really a pretty brilliant system. They all suck, but are awesome when needing to diminish a different one.
