Mobley dropping the "im going to keep working and STAY IN THE GYM" was not by accident. I saw what he did! Gotta keep up with Jalen!
I keep seeing that this kid isn't into basketball but let's not forget Timmy came out of his swimming trunks and said, Swimming was his passion. Swimming? I like all of them: Mobley, Cade, Green even Suggs. They're all 19 or 20 yrs old so we've only seen glimpses of their talent.
I must say I view our position as great. While this draft has no LeBron James, it basically has three number one overall picks.
Kudos and thanks to @J.R. and @zeeshan2 for keeping us updated up to the minute on the latest and greatest NBA and Rockets related content.
Im not a big fan of Ringer or Athletic. Always stupid headlines and such... He might be the #2 pick because you can plug him into any situation. Wtf? How about because he's incredibly good.
Man I worry about his love for the game, seems like he's got motivation issues. Another Bynum, anyone?
“I’ve called him a generational talent, and here’s why,” said Etop Udo-Ema, who coached Mobley on the Compton Magic AAU team. “He’s got a mixture of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant in his game, and he’s a great defensive player who can change the course of any game. I’ve been coaching for 30 years and I’ve seen pretty much every top player that has been through Southern California, and if he develops, he can be better than any of them. “Once he gets bigger and stronger, there is no ceiling for this kid.”
Naybe he can follow a Leonard Giannis where they are wildly athletic, but have to refine their skills and do so over time. But Durant? Durant showed his offense touch, mentality, aggression even in college. IT was easy to see this guy was a scorer. Mobley has the athletic tools, but will he be a J Issac, a antekounmpo ? I dont know yet Hes intriguing thats for sure
Not as charismatic in interviews as Cade or Thriller. Good thing that is not a factor on basketball court.
