after shaq, came yao. but he was barred from any sort of bullyball. same probably goes for any other player trying to emulate g-anus

Bully ball always been there thats why Bron moves to PF from SF when it's winning time.

The difference is Giannis is a game changer cuz he can bully people on offense but also keep up with lightning quick guys on the perimeter. The other thing is the Bucks go 5 out on offense and that really gives Giannis the space he needs to steam roll guys out there.

Problem with Yao is he tried to slow down for people that cut him off or stood in his way. He should have just trucked them. After a few of those, players would stop putting themselves in front of that train.

I'd say definitely not - purely because no other player will get away playing the game the way Giannis does.

Hello manufactured face of the league where thinking Giannis commits an offensive foul means you're living in fantasy land, and anyone even thinking of defending one of his drives means an automatic defensive foul.

No one is getting that treatment. Yet. I say yet, because much the way they tried to make Curry the face of the league but soon realised that ain't it, the same cycle will repeat with Giannis.

Yao would just foul out in the first quarter every game if he did that

You missed the point. If Devon Harris took a full charge on Shaq he would never do it again. If Yao plowed him once or twice, he wouldn’t be getting those fouls as much because players wouldn’t be dumb enough to throw their body in front for a cheap non-shooting foul.

It's definitely back as long as you have an All-Defensive team player in the back court and a teammate who scores like a poor man's KD when he's on. Giannis deserves all the credit in the world for rallying Milwaukee back to win it all but the importance of Holiday's defense and Khris' scoring has been casually swept under the rug to make room for more Giannis narrative.

Well if they would of showed up in games 1 and 2 it might have been a sweep or gentlemens sweep.

And to save you the trouble in Giannis first game back from injury to play in game 1 he almost had a 20-20

And in the second game he had a 40-10 game

If you want to bet on this amount of injuries happening to all the best players in the league every year sure. If not don't see him winning another ring in Milwaukee.

All these guys missed time or were not 100% in the playoffs this year. Pretty crazy. Fully healthy nets team might have swept the bucks.

this isn't true, you only need to take a couple to get yao outa the game completely so they'd easily do it

Indeed… Jason kid was trying to turn the Greek into a point guard. When He should’ve started playing him at center. He’ll be unstoppable.

sigh. I can’t even hate on him anymore. I’ve come around to his greatness

Sigh. You’re entitled to your opinion but you’re still overlooking the point. PAIN. That’s the point. Cheap fouls aren’t worth it if they injure you. Nobody stood in front of Shaq running full speed. Not worth it. If Yao punished players they’d find other ways to get fouls. Not by jumping in front of a moving train.

Bully ball is awful to watch.

and judging from the abysmal finals tv ratings the last 2 years. Many would agree with me

I think Giannis is more about quickness ala Hakeem than bullying.

There has been a very strong and hard narrative that current players are SAWFT
There is a bunch of people wanting the OLD SKOOL ball

    That is bullyball IMO

If Trai Young just ran into his man instead of shooting the floaters. . . would he get more calls?
