I'm not necessarily anti-vax. I just watch the data. My mom gets the flu shot every year and every year she gets the flu. I get sick maybe twice a decade. I've been in congregated groups from the beginning until now. A few of us got it. Nobody had any hospitalization issues. 18 months later! This is the flu. It sucks, but it is the flu.
I can’t think of any anti covid vaxxers that I know that have said there is a microchip in it. It’s generally that the vaccine isn’t tested and they are worried about side effects, it’s toxic or a poison, it’s a science experiment, or covid is just a flu and they aren’t worried about it enough to get vaccinated. Or anyone who gets it is a sheep and they are the smart independent ones. Even the nutty ****s on the mma message board I get on don’t seriously say it has a microchip. I kind of want to start a poll there and see the results lol. One of our last employees to get vaccinated was legit freaked out about the safety of it. We had to fire one girl who wouldn’t get it.
There IS data that shows that you are less protected than someone with 2 vaccine shots. I read an article about it just last week I will try to find it for you. Basically they checked some thousands of people who had covid and found out that after 3 months most of them had no antibodies whereas people will vaccines because they get a regulated standard dose have much longer protection. And there was another article that said that people recovered from previous variants are much more vulnerable from the delta variant compared to vaccinated.
My parents and quite a few of their friends legitimately believe Bill Gates is trying microchip us for control. All middle to upper middle class suburban boomers. My father actually yelled at my after I got the vaccine.
just to be factual, read these articles How a decade of coronavirus research paved way for COVID-19 vaccines also, as per this April 2020 reporting, The Trump administration abruptly cut off funding for a project studying how coronaviruses spread from bats to people jeopardizing possible COVID cure in the waning days of his presidency, he and his wife got the vaccine shot, but would not allow anyone to take photo of them taking the shots, nor did he publicized that that they got the shots while he used the WH as a platform to promote cleaning solutions and other disproved COVID cures, he did not do so for the COVID vaccine only after he was no longer president, and was banned from social media platforms
My wife and I received our 2nd Moderna shot in late January. I had a sample tested from May that showed positive antibodies and my wife had a sample taken in June that was positive for antibodies. We took the test for travel reasons. Knowing that, we felt somewhat safe to go about our normal lives. But now with the Delta variant around and COVID stages increasing rapidly, we are probably gonna be a lot more careful now.
Please find it because the study I have read conflicting information. I believe I posted the study I saw somewhere in this thread that showed people who were infected with covid and then vaccinated had much greater and more consistent antibody response however they were also much more likely to have vaccine side effects. That said I have not seen many studies relating to this specific issue. It was kind of frustrating.
Adoo I don't care about playing the word mincing game with you. It's tedious and goes nowhere because you are never satisfied with anything. The bottom line is he did it and it has had minimal effect on getting his rabid supporter to get vaccinated.
My dad is 80 and he's an interesting case. He's 100% for the vaccines and he loved Trump and his attitude. I told him there were large numbers of people who were against the vaccines and he didn't really believe it until he started talking with his old Vietnam vet friends. He was kind of blown away how many of them were anti-covid vax. For him it wasn't a big deal but for his friends they were pulling out every excuse in the book. It too bad your dad was like that. I've definitely had numerous conversations with him being ridiculously stubborn, but luckily the vaccine wasn't one of them.
you don't care about having all the facts that he hid the fact that he and his wife got vaccinated. while Trump used the WH as a platform to promote the use of cleaning solutions and other disproved COVID cure, he did not do so for the COVID vaccine
Fatty, I think you relish being the contrary opinion. Six hundred and nine thousand Americans have died from Covid-19, and there are studies that have shown that the actual number could be as much as 50 percent higher than that in our country. How did they arrive at that figure? This is from one of those studies. They "looked at excess mortality from March 2020 through May 3, 2021, compared it with what would be expected in a typical non-pandemic year, then adjusted those figures to account for a handful of other pandemic-related factors." https://www.npr.org/sections/corona...n-900-000-people-have-died-of-covid-19-in-u-s Putting aside the undercount of the number of deaths, which I believe, 600,000 plus is not from "the Flu." But hey . . . if it makes you feel good to say that it's "the Flu," enjoy being wrong. I'm sure you do.
Have any of you guys ever checked out the VAERS reporting data? https://wonder.cdc.gov/controller/datarequest/D8 I've been playing around with it and looking at actual reports and it's pretty crazy to read them. I was trying to see roughly how many deaths there were in the system and I recognized that roughly 5600 of the 11500 deaths are foreign reports. I don't know what that means, but the actual reports are done with metric data. Anyone have any clue? I tried googling it and didn't find much.
Why are you like this? All of this is really easy to google. Why am I like this for even engaging in this conversation even after I said I wouldn't? This is like the conversations I have with my dad who gives non-stop excuses for Trump and complains about Democrats non-stop. This is a me problem lol. I'll spoiler all this bs just so it doesn't distract. Spoiler https://www.politifact.com/factchec...-said-encourage-covid-19-vaccine-use/#sources It didn't matter when he said this on December 11, 2020. or this or this https://thehill.com/homenews/news/540922-trump-tells-fans-to-get-vaccinated-during-cpac-address Former President Trump called on his supporters to get their COVID-19 vaccines during his address to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Sunday, while taking credit for the pace of the U.S.'s vaccine rollout. Speaking Sunday afternoon at the event in Orlando, Fla., Trump touted his administration's role in the rollout of a COVID-19 vaccine program. "Everybody go get your shot," he said. or this https://www.npr.org/2021/03/16/9780...get-covid-19-vaccine-within-limits-of-freedom March 16, 2021 "I would recommend it, and I would recommend it to a lot of people that don't want to get it. And a lot of those people voted for me, frankly. But, you know, again, we have our freedoms and we have to live by that, and I agree with that also," Trump said during an interview with Fox News on Tuesday. "But it's a great vaccine, it's a safe vaccine, and it's something that works." or this https://www.forbes.com/sites/jackbr...ent-of-covid-19-vaccines-yet/?sh=5a9dcb6a4cf6 Apr 23, 2021 In his first public media effort dedicated solely to endorsing the vaccine, Trump said he’s “all in favor” of the shot, adding it’s a “great thing” that people “should take advantage of.” The former president has endorsed the vaccine several times—he advocated for the shot during two separate interviews with Fox News and once during a Conservative Political Action Conference speech in February—but this marks the first time he has given an interview focused specifically on encouraging Americans to get immunized.
Quite the opposite. Look at my posts a year ago in regards to this. The smell factor has simply never been there.
only to be contradicted by the fact that Trump refused to publicize the fact that he and his wife had taken the vaccine shots in mid-Jan when he was still the POTUS btw, in Feb, Trump was no longer the POTUS why didn't he encourage Americans to get immunized, right after he had gotten the vaccine shots, when he was still POTUS ?
the topic is why didn't Trump, as the POTUS, promote the COVID vaccine w the same level of intensity (such as holding a press conference, etc.) as he did w the cleaning solutions and other disproved COVID cures.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...ay-not-offer-long-term-protection-study-finds There was also another study that recovery from previous variant potentially leaves you vulnerable from the delta variant..but I can't seem to find it now. I have been following this topic as well since my aunt who was hospitalized from covid in April is now prohibited from getting jabbed.( to save the vaccines for "those who really need them " BS) I thought it was fine but now I am starting to worry. If I were you and was able to get jabbed I would. You have nothing to lose anyway. That's what we are all going to do anyway in a couple of months. Get booster shots.
