The Suns only hope to mitigate Giannis's athleticism is D. Ayton. No other way. Ayton just might be the only athletic big second only to Giannis in terms of jumping ability and running the court. Capela had his chance.
I just want to point out that advanced Stats wise, holiday is still very good. He might actually be the best perimeter defender in the league. However badlly he shoots, he always makes up for it on defense.

When Rockets were contending I couldn't even bring myself to watch any other teams do well. Harden leaving Houston barren actually freed me up to watch some games..

Ayton has basically been outplayed by Giannis. I mean they start the games off with Lopez out of respect to him (I guess...) but once they put Giannis at center that's basically the end of Ayton doing much of anything of note.
CP3s body of work is so good that it doesn’t matter in terms of his legacy as a whole but I think this will absolutely cap his ceiling in terms of his legacy if he loses this.

Youre right ayton is best on him but i really dont think they win by focusing on giannis. He can't even close a game. This is the first time ive ever seen giannis, holiday and middleton all play well in a game. Giannis will get his layups and dunks. The outside shooting and cp3 being a non factor 90% of the game is what killed them.
Its not really that, Ayton has defended him well, Giannis is just hot and he's hitting those jumpers this series. Ayton honestly, is a very low motor player. He doesnt go after rebounds. I dont want to say soft....but he...has to have more energy.
