In all I haven’t counted how many games I have, but 2 days ago I finally decided to go digital when it comes with the ps4/ps5 and series/ Xbox one games. I had close to 60 ps4 games and about 53 Xbox one games. I also sold my Nintendo switch and 13 games along with my two pro controllers to GameStop. I just hate the switch. It’s so underpowered compared to the newer consoles. Nintendo needs to get it together they are about 2 generations behind when it comes to hardware

I also have 400 discs in a dvd binder ranging from different sets of Sega saturn, ps1, Dreamcast Xbox, GameCube wiiu/Wii and ps2 games. Unlike my newer ps4/ps5 and seriesx/ Xbox one games, I don’t ever see myself selling my retro games and consoles

Game Guys in Almeda mall is your best bet. They can fix anything related to consoles and controllers

Don’t know much about this particular hobby, but my guess would be you want to collect games with a low production run. Nostalgia won’t be your friend because people can play the games electronically at low cost, so it’s not like card collecting. The value would likely come from physical scarcity.

Not sure if I can see a future in it. But because gaming popularity will only grow, there is a potential market, but the industry would need to create a physical property that is scarce or becomes scarce.
