If @treyk3 is in his late 30s like me then he's right. Walton was before my time and Sabonis is a mythological player I never got to witness and don't want to base my opinion of him on his Portland days.
Early 30s, basically the earliest passing bigs that I can remember are Vlade (somewhat) and Chris Webber.
LOL I'm sorry there is no Hartenstein in this draft for you to fawn over. Do agree or disagree that there have been players that were clearly superior to any other player in draft class, some even so superior that articles touted them as unique? I mean you bring up Tim Duncan to support this thesis after all. There are players that come out that are so beyond everyone else - nitpick 1 or 2 on my list to your delight but I notice you conveniently ignore Lebron, Wilt, Kareem, etc. There are no such players like that in this draft I'd be willing to tip jar bet of $1,000 so put up or shut up.
which effectively makes it something like #2, #23, EG for #1 which of course everyone would do in a heartbeat lol...
If you can get 13, keep it. Cade is the best in this class but he's not so much better than the second best player Mobley that you'd want to give up 2 firsts just to get him.
Depends on the deal in which we acquire it. If we're not taking back salary, or are getting a useful young player back from Indiana, then I'm ok with it. But hard to see Indiana doing it. Again, it becomes #2, EG, #23 for #1 EG doesnt seem like he would have much positive value, its almost a plus getting rid of him for me. So basically the #23 to move up ... lol... yeah, I'm all over that.
lol. 2, 23, and EG for 1 OR 2, 13 for 1 If you easily take one over the other, then may have to re-think your perception of a 23, EG for 13 trade.
I still can't picture a reality where Indiana gives us a lottery pick for Eric Gordon. I mean I'll be thrilled if that happened but Chad Buchanan must be high AF to agree to that.
I don't see why Indiana does it... BUT if they do. Gordon has at least 2 more years at $18+ and has played 63 games over 2 seasons and shot 32% and 33% from three in those games. Im just responding to the proposed trade, lol.
Idk. I like Cade but for both 2 and 13? KP, Green,Tate/KJ, Wood, Kai Jones… we probably would be better off staying put.
lol. Yeah, I know. I'm just saying, it's like the substitution property of mathematics introduced into trade hypothesizing to inject a reality check.
Me too, keep 2, 13, 24. If Rockets can really get 13 for EGo + 23 then I'm all in. If Stone can really swing this trade, he deserves all the accolades.
Now here's something in the realm of possibility: Indiana receives: Tyler Herro, Eric Gordon and #23 Miami receives: Myles Turner Houston receives: Goran Dragic and #13 Indiana rolls the dice on hoping Herro just had a sophomore slump, finally moves Turner to clear that "unclog" front court and they get a 1st rounder back. Miami gets a big man that can play alongside Adebayo and can actually help them win now. Houston gets an expiring contract and the #13.
Nice! I can actually see each team being somewhat ok with that. Even better if we could then later find a way to move Goran, though ideally of course would rather move Wall, but don't see that happening.
