In his 2nd year in office. You do the math in your head.

My point is that the economy had been growing by all traditional metrics(gdp growth, unemployment rate etc) since 2012.

And btw that had little do with either administration. It reasonably follows that a recovery from one of the worst economic crashes in American history due to subprime mortgages is going to follow with one of the longest periods of rebound.

When Trump was inaugurated in Jan. 2017, unemployment was at 4.7%, meaning Trump took office with an unemployment rate that was 3.1% lower than the figure Obama took office with.

There was a large group of Southerners who were racists and slaveholders who obviously were opposed to Lincoln. They happened to call themselves Democrats. This group became known as the Southern Democrats and when LBJ pushed those civil rights bills through they abandoned the Democratic Party and became what is now Republicans.

But it’s always been the same group of misogynistic, gun clinging, bible thumping, uneducated, racist hypocrites. They just follow whatever leader is the most like them. LBJ was not so they left him. Trump is so they tried to cause an insurrection to illegally secure him as President.
