Cade, as a prospect, is similar to Hill in that both guys are point forwards that look like they will fill up a boxscore. While Hill got his by being the much better athlete, Cade has a similar impact by using his skill.

I agreed Cade is more advanced offensively at the same age with different roles, but that's where i hate stat comps..2 different eras. Stats of Hills era are not equal to todays stats. Completely different game. Hill was a superior rebounder, and defender at the same age. Cade a better shooter, better handles and more opportunities to play make, but people showing his playmaking/passing has been overrated.

How's the relationship between KPJ and Green? If they are good friends, think best to go with Green to build their chemistry. I do like Cade more, but afraid both will want the ball.

I’m not saying they are equal. I’m saying it’s absurd to use the term “infinitely” when comparing Hill’s game to Cade’s.

I'm not holding out hope Green will be Kobe. That's highly unlikely and i never said he would, but Green wants to strive to be which is a good sign. Green is nothing like Westbrook. Did you watch Greens video breakdowns? He's very smart and has high IQ and remembers and recalls old plays and what he should and shouldn't have done. I wont argue CP, like Kobe, that's just another all timer..young CP advanced stats show the GOAT pg for a reason, but you're just assuming Green is a dumb athlete like Gerald Green. KPj seems to be growing his game just fine and he's made a lot of stupid mistakes off the court. He doesn't have to be as smart as CP. There's countless dumber or average point guards with more jewelry and better health than CP and his amazing brain. White Chocolate got a ring as a starting point at 30.
Green is smart and hungry and dedicated.

Yeah I think Cade and KPJ will clash

KPJ seems like he is really embracing the opportunity to be a franchise player and Cade seems like he wants to be the guy with the ball

Nice! Boys working on tightening up those handles. He's putting in the work. Are those the All Star game shorts from when they were in Phoenix with that cactus logo? 1996 or 97? It was around the cartoon logo on chest explosion era in our shark dildo days, i'm sure.

I can’t even begin to imagine how that poster determined how how green is “dumb” what watching a video?? Because he is extremely athletic, does that make him “dumb”.

    prettyyyy stupid

When I watch him play, that's what he comes across as. A lot of players "strive", but some are too dumb to pull it off. A good example would be Dwight Howard, he came into the league dominating due to extreme athleticism, strength, and size. He said all the right things, he took lessons from all the right people.... but in the end he was just too dumb to ever grow beyond being just a freak athlete. He kept trying to jam a square into a round hole.

When it comes to Green talking about all he should have done, that doesn't make it better, it makes it worse. It means it's not because he doesn't know what to do, it means he couldn't recognize what was going on at the time or that he was just too set on doing the wrong thing and refused to adjust. I've seen Dwight Howard do similar breakdowns.

Perhaps time will tell and I'll be completely wrong about him, but he just doesn't strike me as a terribly intelligent person or player, certainly not compared to Cade, Mobley, and Suggs. I prefer to gamble on players with skill and brains to those who are mostly raw athleticism.

Love it. My favorites were the all star game in Utah, even though i hate all things Utah, but that court was beautiful. 93? They had the paint black with the circle a teal like color and then purple sidelines from what i recall. The logo was clean and interesting and the uniforms were iconic. So much more creativity with the all star game aesthetics back then.

Grant was a 39% 3 point shooter as a senior in an era when the game didnt embrace the long ball yet - took 3 shots per game as a senior and never took more than 2 per game as a pro - Cade taking and making more 3's is more sport driven. Yeah Duke is a powerhouse - thats where the best players go - or used to, but he was by far their best player his senior year and as a freshman joined a team with Laettner and Hurley. Cherokee Parks was probably their 2nd best his last year, and Duke didnt even reach the final 4 in 1993.

Its fun to compare, but just the same if Green guys need to get checked about mentioning Kobe or anyone else I think Cade guys need to pump the breaks on a GHill comp as well. I dont see it.

I think some of us forget:

One of the things i miss about players staying in college to develop, you could see the transition both physically and the game. That's one of the reasons i think the NBA used to be better, these guys were entering the NBA as mature and better players than today who are spoiled for too early, but that's another topic.

I agree with you. The other guy was just comparing 19 year old to 19 year old. Hill took that leap as a junior and again as a senior. Cade will be in the NBA already by that age. Hill's midrange, deep midrange as proven by that college 3pt line, was killer. Pull up on the break as well. He had post moves and footwork at an early age that Cade doesn't have, but again, different eras with different focus and emphasis.

I mentioned earlier that Hill had a form meant for mid range, but could easily evolve it for 3's and i forget he actually did change the form as he was older and shot more 3s. What an incredible comeback story though. So underrated how difficult his road back to just being an NBA player again was and he was really good a few years.

Well that's fine that you see someone who comes across as a dumb player. I don't see it at all and you've brought up Westbrook and now Dwight as examples, both are athletes who never improved any skills and really had none to begin with. Green keeps improving and is already highly skilled offensively, but it's clear Green's not your guy. I hope if the Rockets pick him that he proves you wrong. I truly believe he will.

I think people of certain affiliations have a hard time connecting with people of certain cultures.

Suggs, Cade and Mobley are much easier to relate to for these folks, and guys like KPJ and Green gnaw at their inner biases.
