Well I'm going Green; but I loved the defense Ariza provided
    near 3rd year.

That's why I would draft a defensive minded good catch and shoot (3&D)
guard like Duarte/Scottie Lewis/McBride/T Mann to offset any lack
of defense we get from Green/Porter (initially).

Ying & Yang balance of Porter/Green (Ying) to go with
Duarte, Mann, Lewis, McBride / with Khyri Thomas (Yang).

Eventually Porter/Green will get better defensively.

Then the Rockets will be set at PG/SG/SF with:
    Porter........Khyri Thomas / (Duarte/Scottie Lewis/T Mann/McBride)
    Green........Khyri Thomas (Duarte/ Scottie Lewis/ T Mann/ McBride)
    Kenyon Martin jr........Tate / (House.....if still around)

Expendables: Wall, Eric Gordon, Avery Bradley, Augustin, Armoni Brooks,
Sterling Brown, Nwaba, Exum all leaving soon....not in Rockets future long
    term plans.

Chris Smith can be had on a Tate / Martin contract. I am sure he will out play it.

ariza is a flawed player, any 3 and d player that cant attack closeouts and playmake off the dribble is flawed

The only thing flawed in this thread is the whack ass premise.

Yes, because Chris Paul said I like Trevor Ariza, dummies think Ariza should be front page news

Popovich teaches pump fake to get the guy rotating to jump/contest

then dribble twice to draw an additional defender.

The Ariza type can occupy 2 out of the 5 defenders that way. Pass to a cutter
    or open 3-pt shooter.

Still works in today's NBA. Pump fake, guy goes flying by off the pump fake....
dribble to the side half step.....shot the 3.

Not everything has to be, "you got to drive all the way to the rim, then pass...or it does
not work. That's a myth. Imo.

Lol chris paul speficically called ariza a glue guy, only dummies think that is front page news. basketball is about cohesion, chemistry. Ariza is not a vital stat piece, although he is an important defender and 3/d you can replace his stats. You can't replace his respect and clout where winning with kobe, his own personal leadership style qualities resonates so much that players want to play with him and listen to him.

Hes a non headliner move, just like Horry was, Fisher was, Avery Johnson, Steve Kerr, John Paxon...so on and so forth. and those guys help win titles, if you only watch the Jump, then maybe you might be too dumb to realize that. And you can't seem to wrap you're head around the premise, so yes Jaen Green a no 2 pick possible star will need a glue guy, ariza, a vet, both on the court as a veteran and now otherwse if tilman does the same thing he did from 18-21, Green will leave again.

And 99er pippen here will say, "green is not a winner, do you know who Ono is?" or some nonsensical borderline retarted that makes you wonder if hes some internet troll or truly this dense. Such an elementary understanding of the nba, you should be primed spot on the Jump though for sure. We got Cf version of steven a smith, just saying **** to be a contrarian or have some relevance and be 'different', not an ounce of sense

green is going to be better than Ariza and will not shoot 0 of 12 in a playoff game

There’s a faction of fans who think that Ariza who had the worst playoff performance in Rockets history would have won a championship in 2019 because Chris Paul gave him a shout out this year on tv

this the same as saying if I get State Farm insurance cause Chris Paul said so that when James harden comes over to my place and burns it down they would pay for it

Youre missing the point, thats what referenced to n the office "explain it like I'm 5" video. Ariza is a vital role player, veteran leader n thea team that according to chris paul multiple times and according to results since we never got back to where we got when he was a part of the team he was a great compliment and was the 'glue' as paul said. We could've replaced him too, I get the bad contract although it was a one year hit and tradeable, no future issues, just run it back at least and pay the premium many other championship teams have done and money is just getting bigger in the league. but we chose to ignore and took the cheapest route including midseason tradng a way talent and picks for nothing except tax savings which doesnt help us spend later, or the team, or the city, just saves the owner moeny.

So green hopefully we all believe will be a star. He will need an 'arza' like glue guy when we have a window to win the title and if tilman and you do the same thing and decide to replace role players during a contention window and ignore any ways to get better for tax savings while the owner then takes the mike and tells any idiot who still will believe him after the other lies that he will instill killer instinct because they should do better, or lyng about a coaches contract and getting caught...its the terrible way he lies and deflects that doesn't help the cause when he makes mistakes either. Any other owners plaster their images larger than the players or coach in the arena? OR take the make after a loss and claim to teach them a fighting culture? Thats the pont, you continue to change the topic and don't address that above so we don't go from 1 seed to last again and lose green when his hesin his prime.
